The Tweet was stupid and in poor taste, but he should not have gotten fired over it. But let this be a lesson to all that you need to think very carefully before you post on Twitter. This is why I do not have a Twitter account.

Its a damn shame they fired Morey over that when he tweeted that, and when Clyde was fired after the "clubbing baby seals" comment.

    Wait...

It's because of the tweet to it.

    <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p>Living in a sensitive world: The Rockets fired their social media manager today over last night's tweet. <a href="http://t.co/CUb8kv2OZy">http://t.co/CUb8kv2OZy</a></p>&mdash; ClutchFans (@clutchfans) <a href="https://twitter.com/clutchfans/status/593500230491836416">April 29, 2015</a></blockquote>

Yup. While I don't think he should've been fired either, it was LITERALLY his job to know better... it's one thing to have a dumb tweed come from a dumb athlete, but the social media manager has to know better.

I'm pretty sure the job description is to be vanilla and not to make the Rockets look classless. It was a classless post. I personally am not offended but do your job. You know the world is filled with P***ys, what did he expect. Now he can get a real job, he's fine.

I'm from Houston bro. As much as I hate the Mavs that tweet was 100% unnecessary. Aminu deserves some money after the way he played on both ends, we still have A LOT of work to do if we hope to have any chance of beating the Clips or the Spurs.

Agreed, a bit classless but it wasn't that major to cost a job. He didn't lash out at a parking lot attendant with harsh words. Two emojis, oh lord are we living in a sensitive world.

It was 100% unnecessary, but not crucial enough to get fired over.

A man lost his job because he posted a cartoon horse face next to a cartoon gun.

    Just think about that.

I thought it was funny. We can't even have a rivalry anymore without people getting upset.

He's a social media manager. It's his job. He should have known better.
