It's not what you know, it's who you know Most work places are like this, but the media being for public consumption just lets us see it.
Any media moron who votes for Curry based on the fact that he was on the best team or was able to sit out 4th quarters is completely blind to the fact that those two points are a testament to how great his TEAM was not him. If your team can afford to have your butt sit on the bench for 12 minutes in crunch time it's because they don't need you to win, not because your so dang good!! I just want to slap the teeth out of the mouth of those fools who say such ridiculous statements like that somehow proves Curry's greatness, it does the exact opposite!! In addition, look at how many accolades his teammates are getting nominated for and a few will no doubt win: - Draymond Green (Defensive Player of the Year) Done deal, it's his. - Andrew Bogut (Defensive Player of the Year nominee) - Andrew Bogut (1st or 2nd All Defensive Team nominee) - Andrew Bogut (2nd or 3rd Team All-NBA nominee) - Klay Thompson (2nd or 3rd Team All NBA nominee) - Marresse Speights (6th Man of the Year nominee) - Andre Iguodala (6th Man of the Year nominee) - Steve Kerr (Coach of the Year) Done deal, it's his. NOW, let's count the number of Rockets players who are getting recognition for their outstanding play: . . . . . (Crickets) Not 1 single Rockets Player outside of James Harden is even mentioned in the running for any award. Let me spell it out. . . J-A-M-E-S H-A-R-D-E-N I-S T-H-E M-V-P!!
They players all pick harden because they have to see the game plan for all these teams. When any team faces the rockets the scouting report says one thing, stop Harden and nobody can do it. Now when u read the scouting report of the Warriors it has many different ways they can beat you on the court. I don't think ppl are giving Harden enough credit, he just had a lebron pre Miami type season. Not only did he put the guady numbers up but he produced wins on a team with no other superstar for really the whole year, Nor any real secondary playmaker. I hope the rockets have a long playoffs run and the national audience can see how great harden is. Hopefully the two best players are in the finals Maybe a prince finally takes the Kings crown?
We'll this team Is made for Harden like. So he's definitely We fans MVP. But the problem is warriors is too good.and curry has a historical season.
Those games, Pop hacked to "keep it out of Harden's hands." It was an homage tactic to stop James Harden through a glitch in the Matrix. He didn't think he could stop the Rox in straight up play. From the horses mouth; nut said. Rox for Life. Harden IS the ONE.
Very good point about the scouting report and how every coach and player says all they needed to do was stop Harden (since Dwight was out most of the time). Their WHOLE game plan was based on containing ONE guy: Harden. Only a handful of teams / individuals / coaches have succeeded. Think about that for a minute, that's crazy. There's not many MVPs who have done it with a less. I'm not saying his supporting cast is not good, I hate that argument because that makes it seem like Ariza, Josh, Terrence, Brewer and them are all average. Truth is though that for the Warriors this season, they have had several serious threats this year and you had to prepare for Klay, Curry and even Greene, Bogut and Speights & Iggy off the bench. Outside of Harden, who did we have that was a legit threat. Dwight usually is but only the first 10 games he looked like his old self. Ariza was hot early, but not much you have to prepare for when a guy camps out at the 3pt line. Beverley was just wild, Brewer you do have to prepare for but he's only lethal on the fast break. Terrence when pressured loses the ball quickly and was injured most of the year. Josh can beat a guy off the dribble, so he's in the Speights category I guess. I think the only serious case you could make is for D-Mo, that guy you definitely had to be prepared for. All in all, while I'm not taking away anything from Curry and the fact he does more with less minutes than in previous years proves how good he really is. That's why the argument that he sits 4th quarters does say something. However, Harden has had far less to work with and for a guy to do what he did on a nightly basis, with all the changes due to injuries and acquisitions / trades, in a very simplistic system with a coach who's deemed very average is nothing short of remarkable. Curry is good, but he's had far more advantages due to coaching, system and supporting cast.
I want to punch that moron named Kevin Ding, seriously. How can you put Harden at 4th MVP and 2nd NBA team???? How can an idiot like this has a right to vote???? Kevin Ding makes NBA like a joke!!!
So what odds would we put on Michele Roberts having returning the player awards to player vote in the demands for the next CBA?

The last two games by the Golden State Warriors and the Houston Rockets possibly define the MVP race for Me, I think Stephen Curry has been great but James Harden has just been better.
http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/12783132/close-race-warriors-stephen-curry-2015-mvp God I wish Harden could win it JUST to shut this douche up. Hell, they can even give it to LeBron and I'd be happy.
The Insider‘s Michael Yo spoke with Los Angeles Lakers’ superstar and former MVP Kobe Bryant where he revealed that the Houston Rockets’ all-star James Harden deserves to be named this year’s NBA MVP. Bryant explained to Yo, “That is a tough call, you have James [Harden] who has been playing consistent all through the season. Steph [Curry], who has been doing phenomenal things. That is a tough call for me but I would have to say James [Harden].” He goes on to say, “[James Harden] had to keep that team afloat. I think the team actually got better, when he went down. Which is hard to do. So I think with the responsibilities he had to deal with this season I’d vote James [Harden].” http://kfwbam.com/2015/04/30/kobe-picks-harden-for-mvp/
