... over that tweet last night.

It's a scary world. The guy they fired is one of the nicest, kindest, funniest dudes you'll meet. People took emojis literally and it's kind of embarrassing that this became a national story. One tweet can convey something different than intended, and it can cost you.

Anyhow, if anyone knows of a marketing, communication or social media position, I'm sure he would be interested to know. Would be nice if Rockets fans helped him get a new job.

wow they couldn't just suspend the guy for a couple of weeks? i'm liberal and progressive typically about most things, but the world is going soft in some respects.

Damn, the ESPN lady only got suspended for a week and this kid gets fired over some unwise use of emojis.

JR Smith can knock someone out in a playoff game and receive some national attention but 2 emoji's causes a huge ruckus.

Petition to add the horse and gun emoji available to use on clutchfans.

I guess I can understand how some people would be upset over that? It did seem a little bit gutsy for the official team account to post that.

Personally I thought it was hilarious.

This is where fake outrage and PC culture really pisses me off. People (especially on the internet) don't realize someone's job is at stake in these social media situations when they spew their fake outrage and fake PC bull****. Usually that someone has a wife or husband, a couple of kids. They lose their jobs and life is turned upside down while the PC fakers forget about the incident the next day and go on with their lives.

The first round win came at a price. :(

And I was enjoying the gems that were tweeted.

Anyone who didn't see this coming doesn't remember the PETA outfits the Rockets had their cheerleaders wear back in the 90s.

Everyone in this world is so soft these days

You almost can't say anything for fear of not being politically correct.

ANyway, he can be my PR guy since he seems like a tough dude. When I don't feel like coming to CF for whatever reason, I'll use the guy.
