Not enough buzz yet. Astros probably lost a lot of that fan base with those dreadful years. Once we get in to the second half of the season and the Stros are still in the playoff hunt, we might get back to the 98-05' days. We had a real home-field advantage in Houston. Astro and Texan fans are great when things are going well. Rocket fans are plain awful in regards to Toyota Center Atmosphere.
Agree with the above but I actually like Evan. He puts effort and researched his articles and is active on twitter. Ortiz writes some of the laziest stuff I've ever read.
I think Evan has pessimist moments, but you're right: he puts in decent research. I don't mind him much. Tags is decent. I think he actually cares. When Smith would crap on the Astros, it seemed like he felt he was above them. When Tags is snide, he is at least invested a great deal of time in the team and has some tenure to do so.
Eh... there's still enough people who live in Houston who need a place to deposit their entertainment dollars. There's not much else going on, sports-wise, in Houston this weekend... and good weather does bring people out of the house/outdoors. The first place standing can only help.
Drellich is too concerned with how other media markets portray the organization. When management got shat on for every move made over the past few years Drellich would just pile it on instead of doing his due diligence. I like McTaggart. Just wish we had more than one reliable beat writer (I also like Alyson Footer to an extent but she is more league based these days).
