J.R. Smith is supended the next two games in the playoffs. http://www.nba.com/2015/news/04/27/smith-olynyk-suspended-perkins-fined/index.html what do you think. are two games enough? are suspensions to short in generell? i think J.R. deserved more than two games. maybe like 7. the nba should make longer suspensions if you are a guy who already did some cheap shots. J.R. wont learn a thing. two games are nothing even in the playoffs with a seven game series.
i think 2 games is fine. also, how can you say two games is nothing ? especially since love will be out also. thats 2 starters gone. the cavs could be in some trouble
tbh this dude shouldn't even be allowed in society. He has a history of these things. I imagine if he acts that way in front of the cameras, he's a monster behind closed doors. here's one where he happened to miss but still. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWE0-hQi4Qc
Not enough. This guy has a history and does not belong on a basketball court. Time and time again his actions are met with small consequence. He killed a man with his reckless driving and continues to drive like a maniac. The Crowder event isn't the only time JR has reacted with violence. NBA had a chance to send a message and they failed.
I agree it's too short. I suppose it will take a mega-lawsuit against the league, after someone like Crowder gets hurt pretty badly by someone like Smith. Then the league will take it more seriously. If your career ends b/c a known offender tees off on you when you're looking away, it seems to me you could hold the league liable as well as the bezerking individual.
The league needs to have rules about this, they re so far behind, it's not even funny. They won't even explain themselves.
It's the playoffs guys. These game hold sooo much more weight than in the regular season. Two games is quite significant considering if they lose two in a row because of his absence (big if) and they already are going to miss Love for the remainder of the playoffs
We got the real level-headed J.R. locked up long term and he has already served his two day suspension
