Calling me douchbag and saying you look forward to cleansing people like me from the gene pool was vile.

Also, just for full disclosure, I am not black -- and it seems that you think I am.

So what does America have to do to make up for the past?

Go ahead and keep lowering the threshold for what is considered terrorism instead of actually addressing the issues people are angry about, and pretty soon you'll have more "terrorists" in this country than you know what to do with.

    ^

"Two hundred fifty years of slavery. Ninety years of Jim Crow. Sixty years of separate but equal. Thirty-five years of racist housing policy. Until we reckon with our compounding moral debts, America will never be whole."

Racism is dead--except for the urban neighbourhoods drawn up by red-lining and forcing urban blacks into undesireable neighbourhoods, shutting them off from the largest wealth accumulation in modern history. Except for a right-wing administration that empowered crack dealers and accelerated an incarceration system that penalized minorities while infant mortality and the education gap skyrocketed for African-American communities.

21st century America was built very recently by enforced segregation, enforced neglect and harm to the poor, and systematic racism. To be perfectly frank, anybody that follows the policy can only conclude that what is happening now was planted decades ago and has borne the fruit it was always meant to do.

So what did I assume incorrectly about your sentiments regarding the current situation of the African-American race?

Was I incorrect in assuming that you believe that 400 years of institutionalized racism ISN'T the largest contributing factor to the current predicament African-Americans are in today?

I couldn't care less what color you are. But you are OPENLY advocating the violence we are seeing right now, and THAT is vile. And yeah, I want to see those who want to tear down society through violence against innocents "cleared from the gene pool". They are a threat to civilized society.

    This is what you advocate:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HqJ5izcZrBg

These people go to see a baseball game and end up getting attacked by a mob because they're white. WTF did they have to do with police brutality? NOTHING!!! ABSOLUTELY NOT A SINGLE GODDAMMMED THING!

Anyone who condones this is a piece of trash. And yeah, that means you.

so, death camps or death squads?

condemns violence on one side then advocates a whole lot more. this is what dehumanizing your imagined enemies does.

Some of it's citizens must acknowledge that 'gagster rap' isn't why Black America is behind in education and average income. Maybe also some more empathy for their predicament(not referring to the rioters)?

But you are ok with those who condone the much greater and more heinous violence of the police and the government, aren't you?

I don't agree with you Ham Jam, but I would like to point out freeman's cognitive dissonance when he was on the side of Bundy supporters POINTING LOADED CONDITION 1 WEAPONS at federal agents.

LOL, I want to see rioters confronted with force. They will think twice about it if they are. If, on the other hand, the city administration decides to "give them some space to destroy"... Well, we saw last night how that turns out.

Raise your hand if you've been in riots before. (treeman standing in the corner with his hand raised) News flash: You don't quell riots by standing back and hoping they just get it out of their system. If you want a return to order, you squash them with force.

It would be preferable if these kids went home to strong nuclear families, stayed in school and off drugs, and tried to make something of themselves. Instead, they go home to broken families, do drugs, drop out of school, join gangs, end up on the wrong side of the legal system, and proceed to blame everyone but themselves for their predicament. Sorry, world's smallest violin playing here...

Of course, a Canadian probably wouldn't understand this. These aren't hockey riots...

Why don't you answer the question and I'll find out? BTW, my first post asserting the '400 years of institutionalized racism' rhetoric was in response to ANOTHER POSTER who asserted 'gangster rap' as the main contributing factor. You jumped in to rebut my posts with 'Who can even remember their slave ancestors' which any rational mind would assume that your are suggesting that the modern predicament that African-Americans face today is far removed from prior transgression by the United States.

    Stop the bull****.

You want to "cleanse" or "clear" people from the gene pool. Own what that means or stop using the term.

The "much greater and more heinous violence of the police and the government" that exists in your mind doesn't threaten the fabric of society. Every case makes the news now. And you know what? It's being dealt with in the way it should be - cops suspended, and ongoing investigation that will likely lead to their firings and prosecution. But that doesn't matter... Gotta "shut it down"...

You wanna "shut it all down"... Lemme ask you something. Say you shut it down. Walmart's closed. Trucks stop running. People can't get to work. City services don't run. Grocery stores run out of food. No one to pick up trash, put out fires, provide security in the community. No road or train networks distributing food. Water and sanitation services stop running because people can't or won't go to work...

Have you morons thought for ONE SECOND what actually happens when it's "shut down"? We won't see riots over perceived injustices then, we will see riots because those same people who rioted a week earlier are now starving because they "shut it down"...

    Morons.
