Dwight and Harden just need to be on sync the whole game... like this man and his dog. I feel like Harden and Dwight only are in sync for just a minimum amount of time during the game, and that's when we are in the lead. And then we just stop doing what was working.

Hasn't been reported, but Dwight didn't look like #PlayoffDwight in the second half. He went nuts in the first quarter and then all of a sudden disappeared. Of course people will think of the knee.

I changed the channel when the Rockets were down by 16 in the third quarter.

The Rockets better finish this in game five.

A sweep should've happened with Rondo imploding, but win BIG Tuesday and all is forgiven. Shots aren't always going to fall, but it's troubling the Rockets were so porous defense... which led to our blowout. We need to get re-focused and end this series convincingly Game 5.

Shout out to to D12's knee

Agreed. We can't rely on our offensive ability to carry us through any playoff series.

Good morning fam. Harden regular season is back. The one where he pretends to be cp3, the ball doesnt come out if its not an assist. When this happens our players dont care about defense anymore. Moreyball happens, he sets everyone up for a 3 pt shot. Thats not our strong suit. He needs to let his game come naturally. Jordan, Tmac, Kobe... were great playmakers but never point guards.

I actually think our offense flows really well with Prigioni/Terry distributing the ball.

Dwight is not hurt he is just a guy who gets down on himself. That avalanche of missed free throws probably the cause.

We let them win one... so they'd get all hopefully, so we can make them even more sad after having false hope.

He didn't look gimpy to me. No more than his teammates. He just wasn't trying. You don't start out 1-10 from the free throw line if you're mentally engaged.

The Rockets simply got outplayed. The Mavs wanted the game more and it showed.

    An extra game.

I wonder how much this is worth to the relevant parties.

ie. ticket sales, the catering, the restaurants around the arena,
    the hotels etc etc...

I am thinking each franchise would like to win but preferable in 7?

(Not the pleb fans, I meant the owners, the business side of the game).

Coach didn't do a good job, we weren't hitting shots, weren't making free throws, the game got chippy and we disappeared. It's hard to beat a playoff team 4 times in a row it happens.

I get that you're upset about the lack of effort and the players admitting the lack of effort, but they can't come out and say that it's coaches fault, or that we just didn't hit shots.

Players come out and say what the media wants them to say. They come out and say what their coach says to them after the game. They come out and say things that don't give ammo to the other team.

It's one game and it will mean very little in the grand scheme

Me too, I couldn't stand to watch the Mavs celebrating. When the Rockets quit, I quit watching. The Rocket's defense was beyond horrible. Really hasn't been great all series. I knew our PG's would be a problem in the playoffs, but the issue hit critical mass last night. I actually have concerns about the outcome of the series. Game five is critical. If the Rockets become the first team ever to blow a 3-0 lead, I may have to find another hobby. They would become the laughing stock of the league.

Gotta get kicked in the teeth every once in a while....hasn't happened recently. Helps make the team better. I think we'll bounce back Tuesday.

Rockets just didn't look mentally interested in the game. Seemed like once they won the first quarter, they figured they had it in the bag and then the Mavs raised their intensity and the Rockets never bothered matching them until it was too late. I thought it was an especially bad sign when the Rockets suddenly had guys passing up open 3s to step in and try long 2s instead. I'm sure Morey was loving that.

It's just weird for a team hanging their hat on defense, just totally ignores it except for the 1st quarters of game 1 & 3 and some stretches in game 2. I agree with Kenny & Barkley that a team giving up 120 is not top 10 defensively, that's where advanced analytics are skewed and this was also in the regular season.

The Rockets haven't had many bad losses lately. In fact, since the All-Star Break, the only ones they've had are at Dallas(regular season), at Utah, home vs. Phoenix, and at San Antonio.

The good news is they've responded after each loss and won their next game with the lone exception of the Spurs where they lost at home by one. But that was in the midst of San Antonio's late season tear and where Pop employed the Hack-A strategy for nearly the entire 2nd half. No offense to Dallas, but they ain't in the same class as the Spurs.
