Yes, I do. My point is they let Dallas off the hook tonight IMO. They quit playing after the 1st qtr. The Mavs would have wilted if we had turned up the heat but we didn't...because of EFFORT. That is the point. Repeat it and the result is probably similar. Not so worried about Dallas....but you you bring that trash against a SA or Clips, you'll get your brains beat out. And, it's INEXCUSABLE for a true professional. THAT'S my point.

 

Your posts are really starting to get annoying. You have been acting like this is the first time a team up 3-0 has lost the 4th game.

 

We got this series. Chill the heck out. No team has come back from a 3-0 hole and Dallas definitely won't do it.

 

I don't remember the exact players involved, but late in the game when the Smith threes cut the deficit to nine, I saw three Rockets in the paint stand around and let a lone Mav get the offensive rebound, leading to another Mav try and make.

As fans, we can accept losses where our team busts its guts, hustles, fights for 50/50 balls and plays smart but loses because the ball bounces better for the other team. But when your team plays like it doesn't care, looks lazy, that is beyond the pale.

 

So then yes, pessimism.

It's one freaking game. I totally agree with you that we let them off the hook and we didn't bring it tonight. But we aren't gonna win the championship in one series. We haven't gotten out of the first round in 8 years! All of a sudden you expect us to act like a team that's been there before? Young teams need lessons. Last year was a lesson on how to start a series strong. We learned. This game will prove as a lesson on how to close. Relax dude.

 

Is his concern that a team up 3-0 lost the 4th game or is he saying that he is concerned about the WAY the team lost ? I don't know his intent but I think that may be what he is saying. And,if we don't take care of game 5 (I believe we will)...going back to Dallas for Game 6 could be perilous. JMO.

 

Didn't see anything about how they lost, just that they did lose. I wonder what Thunder fans were thinking when the Rockets won game four in 2013 and then game five in OKC. Sometimes it happens. I doubt the Mavs win on Tuesday. There is no way that many open shots do not fall in at home. The only way I see a loss is if Dwight is hurt. Eight games played against each other this season, and the Rockets have won six of them.

Ha,I'm not tense nor pessimistic. It is a FACT that the team didn't play with effort after the first quarter.We just agree to disagree here. Young teams need to learn lessons but going to work when it's time to go to work shouldn't be one of them.Dwight,Ariza,Harden,Terry etc are not "young". Maybe the vets can set an example for the young guys. Hey, these are just opinions on here. None more meaningful than another really.

Have Dwight the day off and told him to only shoot free throws. How'd that work out? You didn't see this coming. We are out there posting videos of half court shots, horsing around. We were going to lose this game.

Either way, if we win 4 out of every 5 games, I doubt we should be complaining.

 

Maybe I'm wrong. But, we DID lose. Just me but I couldn't care less about the Thunder.We didn't lose because of shots not falling...we lost because of EFFORT. (Unanimous from locker room). I too doubt we lose Tuesday. But if tonight's Dwight (13 pts.,3/13 FT and 7 rebounds) shows up, it would matter. The next 3 games are all that matters. The 6-2 could be 5-3 if you're honest with yourself.

 

Young has many meanings. We are young in the sense that we haven't been together long. With the constant changing of roster and injuries, we are young in our progression as a team.

Every team needs time together. Give it some time, like 48 hours.

 

And if you're honest with yourself, the 6-2 could be 8-0... Everyone wins when we play the if game.

Yeah..actually I have said something about the coach. I said that it was dumb to go away from scoring in the paint, PNR etc when 20 of 21 pts. came in the paint in the 1st qtr.

 

Awful game, glad we lost. We are just lost defensively and if this is how the Mavs can score, it's going to be a sweep in the 2nd round easily. No rebounding, no boxing out, no rotating, no help defense and the referees were calling a fair game so a missed opportunity. Nobody was being very serious out there, we just took this game lightly and it showed. Let's do this at home!!!

 

I will be sick if Dwight is hurt. Sick.

 

How come people are saying this? Is this being reported?

 

We tried to get back in there by shooting threes instead of defense, this is our old habits kicking in...2nd round exit, here we come.

 

Not reported. Just seems like a lot of us saw him looking gimpy. I was thinking/hoping I was just tripping until I saw so many people here saying the same.
