Typical prisoner of the moment. Since they went to best of 7 in the first round, there's only been 1 year with 3 sweeps in the first round. When higher seeds are up 3-0, they win game 4 62% of the time. That means they lose 38% of the time. Out of the last 10 Champions, only Dallas didn't lose at least one game by 19+. As for what the Mavs have that those other teams don't.
Ok you have put it into perspective. Thanks. But this current Mavs team Did not win a ring. Dirk and Harris are the only remnants of that 2011 championship team. Rockets took game 4 for granted and that's pretty disappointing.
Like my earlier comment in the game thread - I'm more than happy to get the 4th win in our own stadium in front of our own fans. As much as I would've like a clean sweep, especially against the Mavs, I think after the previous few years of 1st round knockouts, it will be great to get the 4th win in Houston!
Dirk, Chandler, and Barea. Not Harris. Three of tonight's starters. Along with their coach. These type of guys aren't just going to lay down like those other teams.
The fact that this thread has made it to a 6th page says all you need to know about the GARM after a loss. Never change, Clutchfans!
There's nothing wrong with constructive criticism after a loss. Our team could benefit from a vocal leader to right the ship. There have been long periods of poor defense, terrible offense where we look like chickens with our heads cut off, and scoring droughts where our team forgets their assignments and gameplan. Teams usually look to their best players or a veteran presence for that wisdom. Someone needs to step up to reinforce the gameplan and calm the team down, get us rolling again.
Everybody from McHale to Jet to Ariza to Dwight to Bickerstaff to everybody in between has talked extensively about what a vocal leader Harden has been this season. Clutchfans knows best, tho.
James remains poised... that is a true meaning of leadership. Mothafuka is a consummate professional. I like that he doesn't get rattled. He does his cooking and roars after big dunks. What else do you want?
