ROCKETS FANS! In the words of Shaq..we were too comfortable, too complacent..we will sleep in our own beds..we will have our own fans in Houston, this series is still over! When Shaq believes..we must still BELIEVE!!

The players themselves are saying the SAME thing themselves. It was a TOTAL lack of effort...especially on the defensive end. I mean who wants to jump the players who were just quoted here. It is what it is. And, frankly, I'm not impressed by hearing them say it when it's over.I hear what's being said but as has been pointed out by myself and others....you can't just turn it on and off when you want.

Terrance Jones has not been the same since Dwight Elbowed him, he just moving slower, and just seems out of it on the court. Tonight, he got lite up by Charlie V, and whoever else he switched on. McHale left him in the game way too long

Considering they're at a press conference, yeah!

They are right, they didn't bring it tonight. Piss-poor performance.

And yes, now they have to go show (at least in this series) that, as Josh Smith said, "this won't happen again".

Just take Mavs seriously and come in with the right mindset.

    You should do ok.

This is so cliche. Teams by now should know prior to a close out game not to be complacent, yet they do exactly that. Inexplicable

The Rox really need to think about using less switch and take the gamble to let the Mavs take some open long jumpers.

That's how we beat the Clippers last time and went under the screen to stop his penetration, but then again, expecting 2 old guys to keep running like that will be tough.

Losses in the playoffs are always a bummer but this loss may do this team some good in the long run. The team should not allow their intensity and effort to ever be questioned the rest of these playoffs.

Why not take the mavs seriously in game 4 instead? Why wait till you get beat?

The master himself of play harder needs to get his guys to play harder.

A good loss to some degree. Sweeping them would give us a break and maybe we play rusty and have a blowout loss to the round 2 team.

But it's Houston luck to have us on the edge of our seats. I'm tired of seeing these nauseating blue jerseys. I don't wanna sit through another 2.5 hours watching these b****es flail arms..

How disappointing is that...that your team has to flop itself to a win.

Well said. I think we will close things out if we play our game BUT I am concerned about a SA/Clippers game with what has gone down the last 2 games. Yeah, we won game 3 but it could easily be 2-2 and people here would feel differently. Give me anything but not lack of effort/quit. You can live with the result if the effort is there....can't if it's not.

It's human nature. They got away with a lackadaisical defensive effort in the first half of Game 3 and thought they could do it again. Other than the actual score, the first half tonight played out in an almost identical fashion. The difference was the Rockets thought they could turn it on in the second half like on Friday, except that tonight their shots weren't falling and the Mavs' were.

They learned their lesson. They know they have to compete for 48 minutes and they can't take entire quarters off. I expect everyone will come out Tuesday and leave it all out there.

well the hypothetical implies houston would play with a lot more energy this game and come out with the win if they lost game 3... ifs and buts dont count, the team knows what happened and im with shaq (i know ridiculous), we blow'em out or atleast win game 5

I know that had Dallas lost, they're fans would've said that it was because Rondo and Parsons were missing.........

Forgetting that Houston is missing both of our starters.
