my guess part of why we got kj is so we can do what sac did with isaiah thomas, "we'll issue a QO but you can go wherever you want provided you let us do it as a s&t"
Thanks tips. Perhaps my wording should have been better but your point is useless. Technically, yes they can make a trade like that happen. But you never see it happen cuz it wouldn't benefit Portland; they're not going to do us a favor.
Still like the Golden State model of building depth via the draft and mid-range free agents. This Rockets team is very close, and savvy vets like Jarrett Jack, Kevin Martin and JJ Barea could be nice boost for us at a small price.
Bench. Will never play alongside Harden, will never close games. Say what you will about Lin, and I am one of his biggest critics, but I think he'll be an upgrade over Prigs. He can finish inside better than Prigs, he can penetrate better than Prigs, at the least he's not a worse three point shooter than Prigs. At the current state, if Smoove isn't play making with the bench unit, nobody is playmaking. Prigs can run the pick and roll but his penetration skills with the pick and roll are terrible. He can't finish at all, he can't shoot immediately after the screen, if they shut down the roll man, it's over. I don't know. Worst case scenario, we give him another shot. He sucks and we just limit him to like 6 minutes a game lol. Also, Prigs might not even be here after this season. Bev might not be here, Terry might retire, etc. I don't want the hopes of our backup spot resting on Nick Johnson alone. TL;DR Oh yeah, and we can just ban all the LOFs that will come crawling back if Lin were to come back.
I wonder how much it would cost to go after a player like Avery Bradley. He's on a reasonable contract, very young, elite defender, 36% shooter. Celtics probably don't need him as much going forward.
Prigs doesn't make mistakes that cost us games and series. He is the anti-Lin. I would rather have Prigs as our 3rd PG than Lin.
Outside of 2 games in the Portland series, that Heat game, and many other games, he barely lost us any games.
I prefer the player who doesn't turnover the ball from simply trying get the ball over the halfway line because of shaky handles or jumps into the air just so he can pass to no one.
That's why Lin would never close games. I don't know. I feel like Lin-Brewer-Ariza-Smoove-Clint would work extremely well.
This game proves why Lin would be a better option over Prigs. Prigs has been worthless. Take away the pick and roll, take away a player on the court (Prigs). And Prigs can't play D as we all know. Quick guards can still kill Lin, but well.. I don't know. I just don't like Prigs.
What is proven as fact is Lin -2 playoff games. He is who he is a garbage injury prone coach killing malcontent.
-1. He did have that one game 5. Look, I don't even care if its Lin. We need a backup PG who isn't a total waste of a roster space like Prigioni. Llull coming over here would be a godsend if he's anyway half decent. PG problem solved. Llull-Bev.
