If the Bricks and the Fakers never see the playoffs again I could care less.
So that's my vote--Bon Ton Rolle young man ! why not ?

Guys, AD doesn't have to wait a year. His extension won't actually KICK IN until the 2016-17 season, so (as long as it's a max deal) it'll automatically be the max under the new TV Deal Era salary cap.

If true, he will obviously take that deal.

That's a NO BRAINER then. Only an idiot wouldn't sign that deal. I don't think AD is an idiot, so I fully expect him to sign that deal the moment that he is allowed to.

On another note, if I am NO, right after that, I go and offer Hassan Whiteside whatever offer it takes to get him to sign that Miami can't match. A Whiteside/Davis tandum would be killer for the next five years, although I would not be happy to see it as a Rockets fan! We would definitely need someone like a LMA to match with Dwight to try to deal with that.

We definitely got over on them on that Asik deal. Asik to me is NOT a starting center, but a good backup. You definitely will never win a championship if Asik is your starting center.

Guess what? Everyone can get hurt at any point in time. AD is forced to play hard because he doesn't have the right role players.

I'd actually like to see him in Boston. They're already a playoff team in the east. AD would surely elevate them to top 4 status.

Boston has to be careful to not become a Denver Nuggets team. They need. Star too

i don't think he'll be eligible for the 30% again until his 7th year if he doesn't take it

I always thought he would go back to Chicago. Makes sense for many reasons.

New Orleans won't let him go anywhere as long as they have a say.

And of course, I would advise against signing this contract. Wait and get the extra money.

Yeah, nobody cares about the NBA because Kevin Durant plays in Oklahoma City and LeBron James plays in Cleveland. I'd personally care a lot more if their shirts had the name of a Top-10 city on the front.

They couldn't keep Chris Paul and neither will they Keep Davis. He's a transcendental player born to dominate the league for the next. The pieces New Orleans has assembled around won't compete for a title any time soon. He needs another scoring superstar alongside to have a real chance.

Considering these players will get the exact same max contract as Davis,

    Damian Lillard
    Andre Drummond

And maybe even : Bradley Beal

this contract seems the best deal you can get in the market now.

So . . .while this year it would be 140
when the new TV contract kicks in
It automatically jumps to the new max [someone mentioned 200+]
    OR
Is the 140 going to be the NEW MAX come next year?

    I might have misunderstood

There is almost zero possibilities he will go to another team.

Even if he will not sign the extension now, at the end of next season, he is still a RFA, the Pels will match any offer for sure.

Of course he can still sign a one year off sheet and leave the Pels at the end of 2017 season like Monroe did this year.

But that will be the Pels seriously f##k up to let that happen.

Oh, then this is a no-brainer, take the deal!
