Did you miss his 4 inning relief appearances against Oakland where he had 4 Ks, 1 BB and 2 hits? His strike to ball ratio was better than Keuchel's Friday night start.
Considering he's in the upper third at not swinging among qualified hitters, swinging too much isn't his problem. Basically, he doesn't make contact on a lot on pitches low in zone on outer third of the plate. When he makes contact here, he hasn't shown much power.
Situational hitting fail by Springer and Carter...drop those dumbasses to the bottom of the order and let the real hitters do the hitting until they can get their minds right.
