I have a hunch that we're going to see Correa up soon. Their hand is going to be forced. We're competitive now, and he'd clearly make the team better. They can't justify not bringing him up if this perfect storm continues (lack of hitting in bigs, him smoking the ball in the minors, and our big league team staying competitive). Meanwhile, Keuchel is a freaking stud.
Just calm down and realize that all these guys will eventually live up to their track records... and the worser (is that a word?) they are now, the more hotter the hot streak will be once that happens. Patience... things will heat up for several players in the upcoming weeks. Its still beyond early in the season.
It still very early. Correa would not be up here before June-July anyways, due to super-2 ramifications (and that's still "early" enough in the season for his bat to have a noticeable impact if still needed). But, chances are he'll get promoted to AAA before he gets here. Also, chances are the guys on the big league club will start hitting in bunches... and Correa may even have a mini-slump here or there after this torrid start. And Keuchel is certainly studly.
Altuve has been watching too much PFP.... Gregerson with his first "jam" of the season, and its from two non-hit hits. EDIT: Freakin A's.
Huh? Guy's going to have to legitimately screw up a lot more than "this" to outweigh his game winning HR 2 weeks ago. That was a wild-ass throw from Altuve, but it actually helped them get the final out. He's also got that pitch-framing thing down for Keuchel... wouldn't be surprised to see him catch most of his starts.
I do wonder if Jake would have caught that... but I guess he's a little dinged up. Ball was smoked.... and somehow the best hitter on the A's continues to torment this team in late-game situations. Lets see if Conger can bunt.
