...at least this is hitting the fan now. So the stench can dissipate by 2016.

Just a little white lie between friends.

So the justification for Hillary's presidential candidacy include the following reasons:

    1. She has a uterus.
    2. She is Bill Clinton's wife
    3.
    4.
    5.

Someone help me out here. I am at a loss. Or is this just another affirmative action selection?

She's also a former U.S. Senator and Secretary of State. And not to mention she's the most qualified presidential candidate in quite sometime. But yeah... Affirmative Action.

    3. Yale law graduate
    4. Two term U.S. senator
    5. Secretary of State

    More accomplishments than Sarah Palin.

I don't even like Hillary, but you are either disingenuous or stupid.

So now y'all care about where the money that funds elections comes from.

Keep it up...... this line of thinking and attitude is why Hillary has a legitimate chance.

And her accomplishments in these roles where what?

Or, what have been her positive accomplishments that recommend her for high office from any period in her life.

I hope that someone has some solid examples to provide, and not just the standard deflection, evasion and personal attacks that many people around here sadly distinguish themselves by.

Here's a useful timeline for the current discussion:

-In September 2005, Bill Clinton traveled to Kazakhstan and met his friend Frank Giustra (pronounced joo-strah), who wanted to buy uranium mines there.

-Clinton gave a press conference with Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev, in which he endorsed the leader’s human rights record and democratic progress, even though he had just received 91% of the vote in an allegedly rigged election. The event was a public relations coup for Nazarbayev.

-A couple of days later, Kazakhstan gave Giustra the uranium concessions he requested.

-Giustra then donated $31 million to the Clinton Foundation with a promise of $100 million more to follow.

    The Westinghouse Deal

-Later, Kazakhstan wanted to purchase an equity stake in Westinghouse, an American company that serves the civilian nuclear industry. This would require approval by the Hillary Clinton-run State Department.

-Giustra set up a meeting between Kazakhstan energy representatives and Bill Clinton in his Chappaqua home. Giustra and Bill Clinton both denied this meeting ever took place until a New York Times reporter produced photographic evidence.

-The State Department approved the deal and KazAtomProm (Kazakhstan’s state-owned nuclear company) purchased 10% of the company.

    Putin and Uranium One

-Giustra’s company was merged into Uranium One, which controls about half of U.S. uranium.

-The Russians wanted to purchase Uranium One, another deal which would require State Department approval.

-Uranium One’s major shareholders gave tens of millions of dollars to the Clinton Foundation, which the foundation didn’t disclose.

-Hillary’s State Department approved the deal and Russia bought Uranium One. Putin can now sell this nuclear fuel to Iran.

I'm curious about this as well. The phrase "most qualified" falls flat with me. John Kerry would be a better candidate if we're going by ticking the box on the experience roadmap.

I don't see why anyone would take you up on that. Anything posted as an accomplishment would then be explained away as not really attributable to her or not as good a thing as alleged. We'd go down a rabbit hole of arguing about the value of her contributions and get nowhere in a conversation. I think we're better leaving it here where you doubt she's worth anything, and them thinking she's the least bad alternative here.

According to that article, there's a lot of variability. He was paid $750k by Ericsson for a speech. Trump pulls in $1.5m standard. So, yeah, not unusual.

LOL. Well, since nobody here who supports her candidacy apparently is capable of offering any examples of her significant accomplishments, that is not going to be an issue is it?

By the way, your reply is an excellent example of the deflection tactics I referred to above, which you offer because you have no answer the question that you would not be too ashamed to post.

Nobody would have ever heard of this woman if it were not for her marriage to former President Bill Clinton. And beyond that, if she did not have a vagina, she would also not be very interesting to the Democrats and the left.

She appears to be just another affirmative action candidate, just like Barack Obama, who also would have never made it past the first cut in the Democratic primaries in 2008, had it not been for his skin color.

Disagree - it wouldn't be explained away at all. Just ignored. Mojo doesn't deflect - he just runs away as he did when challenged in this thread:

I'm still curious what the ads by GOPers against her on that topic are going to look like.

If her Democrats opponents in the primaries don't wear out the topic first, and she is actually the Democratic nominee - no sure thing in either case - then we can expect to see a few contrast ads between her current position and her position 10 years ago during the general election.

Perhaps it will be the Republican candidate or the party that puts together such an ad, or perhaps it is one of the independent political advocacy groups. In either case, this goes to her credibility, which is running a little thin with many Americans just now, especially many independents.

Troubling, but back to the same ol same ol. Is this a reason to vote for even more of this bs and more trickle up for the one percent that the GOP candidates all espouse.

I think you have me confused for someone else. I'm not defending Clinton because I don't like her and don't want her to be president. I'd take half the republican field before I took her. I was only commenting on your rhetorical approach.
