Breaking a zone is easier than most people think. It's all about penetration. James is great at that. Plus,we have guys that can shoot.

This is different than having Ryan Bowen in the lineup or "early Rafer" with the clanking floaters.

I personally would love a Dallas zone. You break it at the diagonals and baseline. Throw the ball to James/Josh/Dwight in the high post and look for the back door. Dallas can't guard it. They'll want to double on the zone because of Dwight and James.

I'm more concerned with our intensity and focus coming into this game. We haven't won anything yet.

My second concern is Coach. McHale needs to play Jet as long as he's hot. Keep him in until he's cold. He also needs to get Josh more touches in the post, and hopefully, play him a little more with Dwight. Normally, I'd say that's a risky move, but each can score on their man. TJ is not as comfortable with his post moves, as they are still developing. And, please, for the love of God, don't double to double. See if Dwight can even hurt us before we treat him like LeBron. That's how we got burned by guys in the corners and cuts.

    Go Rox!

This is what won it for them in 2011. But the times I saw it in Game 1, we did a good job of breaking it.

Why is Josh Smith dribbling a brick?

    OP:

With all respect, you have to remember that Ariza is a different player than we had the first time around.

IF, in fact, Dallas plays zone, Trevor is decent when he's a spot-up shooter. It's different when he has to put the ball on the floor.

His first term here: He felt like he had to be Tmac. It wasn't his game.

I am much more comfortable having Trevor shoot a spot up three or long two in a zone than a couple of years ago.

If McHale is smart, and Dallas plays zone, Corey Brewer James and Josh are good zone breakers, in terms of penetration. Josh's length makes him hard to guard. He's a point forward, almost like Anthony Mason, but with a better defensive focus.

Dwight and Josh will have big games tonight. I'm calling it.

I called Jet already (check the history ;) ) but Josh is going to look to shut down Amare and the second unit.

Love this team and the fans. :)

I don't care what coverage the Rockets are going to play after the half, they are still going to put Dallas's d!ck in the Dirk.

You feature Ariza in one of those pics? I could get showing Brewer, but Ariza has been shooting great.
