ClutchFans Game Thread: Mavericks @ Rockets 4/21/2015 (Playoffs Round 1, Game 2)

We all know what's coming

We won't get any calls tonight guys.

Cuban probably made a movie and hand delivered it to Adam Silver talking about how we got more foul calls than them even though they suck at defense and that leads to fouls.

Let's win this without the refs.

 

I'm so excited about this game I can't concentrate at work.

 

This. I feel like the refs will swallow their whistles tonight against the Rockets. We have to make our 3's and attack the basket and finish our layups/dunks.

 

I have learned NOT TO TUNE IN to the pregame, half time, or postgame shows on TNT when the Rockets are playing. Charles, Shaq, and Kenny will pile on if the Rockets lose and play it down if they win. I refuse to listen to them.

 

Yup. He's #1 on my ****-list now.

 

I'm pretty sure Ed Malloy is the guy that reffed both of the games where we shot only 5 free throws. Uh oh....

he was awful defensively.

Nah, it was Karl Lane. Malloy was a ref at that Bulls game, but Lane was there for both the Bulls and Grizzlies games where the Rockets attempted only 5 free throws each time. Thankfully he's not there tonight.

I'm not sweating Ken Mauer too much. He reffed the game at OKC the Rockets won a few weeks ago. You wanna know how many free throws they attempted that day? 50! Granted, several were late in the game when the Thunder had to foul intentionally to get the ball back, but 50 free throws, people! The problem of course was the Rockets only made 31 of them.

 

more scared off Richard Jefferson than Parsons?

 

Uh, no. This isn't 2003. Jefferson is a scrub. When Parsons left that game in Dallas in the 2nd half with the knee injury, Jefferson came in for him and the Rockets proceeded to go on a huge run.

If Parsons is limited or held out due to his knee, there's no upside for the Mavs. We can ridicule his contract all we want, but there's no denying his offensive production will be sorely missed.

 

It looks like his slightly limping- I dont think he plays

 

Dallas can't win this series if Parsons is not healthy. Simple as that.

He is going to sit tonight.

 

First playoff game that I will be in the building for in 20 years. Must get WIN
