Move Lowrie to first and bring the kid up already.

I'm going to see the Hooks play at Frisco on Sunday afternoon and am having trouble deciphering the Hooks rotation. Any chance that Appel or McCullers will be pitching that day?

Edit:I suppose I wouldn't mind watching Hader, either.

not a terrible idea ....the interesting thing about the "bring up Correa" movement is that the left side of the field is producing quite well between Valbuena and Lowrie...Also Lowrie brings some needed vet experience (and playoff experience) to the team and is not someone I would just jettison to make room for the kid.

I'm sure Lowrie could play 1B if needed...what sucks though in this scenario is having to give up on Carter when he is at his low. We know he is capable of hitting 40+ homers but he'll need to bring his avg and show some power before the Astros can consider trading him for anything that resembles equal value. Packaging Carter in a deal for Cole Hamels might be the way to go, but the guy has to freaking start hitting!!!

I'm cautiously optimistic with the direction this team is heading in --our pitching has been a pleasant surprise, the bullpen has been great and the offense has yet to truly show up. I think that Correa will most likely be a Sept. call up (unless they make room for him via a Carter trade or someone else) and we can probably expect to see him week 3 of the 2016 season  (extra year of control).

No need to rush the kid if the team we are fielding can actually make a push for the playoffs.

    Seems like a Lunhow move.

It was extremely awkward to see what transpired in Chicago though.

Quad Cities pitchers may be hotter than the Astros pitchers right now relative to their league.

He's a major-league shortstop right now. There's no rushing involved.

Troy Scribner vs. Rancho Cucamonga last night: 5 IP, H, ER, BB, 9 K

The run scored on a wild pitch/strikeout. The only hit he allowed was a single in the 2nd inning. Lancaster scored 5 in the 6th and ended up winning 5-3.

I took my kids Tuesday night; found out around hour 3.25 of the near-4-hour drive that Correa wouldn't be playing that night, which led to this happening:

Still got to meet him and get the pic/autograph with the boys (which is adorable, btw). Seems really nice and, good lord, is he big. Anyway, guy there - and I have NO IDEA who he was, so grain of salt - said he heard Correa wouldn't be there in a month. He also said he heard Kemp's promotion was imminent, so... again, grain of salt. But, there ya go......
