I love both Wesbrook and AD, but that's a very one dimensional view - Neither of them make the other players on their roster better. Yes, they make their team better by their stellar individual play, but in terms of taking guys with limited skills and making them seem much better than we all know they are - that's something truly great players do. You gotta turn water to wine to be the best....

The OTHER option would be to have Harden go full throttle at Thompson and get Klay into foul trouble thereby putting his ass on the bench. That's a definite possibility.

Lebron wasn't better than Westbrook or Davis this year. Just stop it.

I'd put Ariza on Curry, Harden on Thompson and Brewer on Barnes. Barnes is a complete non-factor offensively.

Season series matters? I thought it's the playoffs.

See Houston v. Portland last year.

But yeah if by some miracle Bev can come back for the WCF he would obviously guard Curry while Ariza took Thompson and Harden guarded the offensively challenged Barnes. I'd spell Bev with Brewer and go with the matchups I previously mentioned. JET would still his minutes, just moreso when Curry is on the bench.

I'm not sure Harden on Thompson is the best idea. Guarding Thompson requires 100% concentration and no lapses in judgment. Any momentary brain fart means Thompson is off running through 3 screens and pulling up for a jumper. As much as Harden has improved this year defensively, he still has FAR too many defensive lapses than can be tolerated to check Thompson.

    GSW 2-1

Memphis won a close one at home, and Golden State blew them out twice at home.

I'd put Brewer on Curry, Harden on Barnes and Ariza on Thompson. And switch everything on picks. Klay is so good at shooting over shorter guards so we have to put some length on him.

Barkley actually makes some really good points about GSW's weaknesses that should be exploited by Memphis, Clippers, etc. Pure jump shooting teams don't win championships. Golden State has no inside game. The 0-4 vs. Golden State means nothing at this point since Dwight, Brew and Smith weren't there for some of those.

It would probably take until Game 2 or 3, but Nick Johnson would have to be an option if Terry/Prigs aren't getting the job done.

I think you just have to single cover Curry and Thompson and just focus on the boards and protect the paint.

GS gets so many easy buckets because everyone swarms Steph and leaves men wide open for layups. Just gotta pray they don't go off for 4 games in the series. Nobody is beating them trying to stop their game plan as is.

If the Pels hadn't melted down for half the 4th quarter, I'm convinced they could have stolen this game. They needed a steady veteran hand with the ball.

See I knew Pelicans would at least be competitive, much better than OKC but still, Warriors are too good and Davis in the 4th was just ****. He starts way too far out and just drives in like a mad man. He has to step up!!

The Pelicans are making these games tough. I still see GS winning 4-1 but damn, Pelicans will be scary in a year or two. They just need some experience and a few more pieces (some veterans and a C not named Asik).
