Without the dragons and being modest now, Khaleesi is a snoozer. Let those puppies and Smaug be free. Highlight of the episode is the small council. The Lannister uncle blowing Cersie off was enjoyable. Oberyn's wife is so annoying. That grating voice would drive me to a trial by combat for sure.
Now that's a road-trip duo I can get excited about. Like Smokey and Snowman, or Steinbeck and Charley....
Enjoyed it, really seems like Dany could be in for a small revolt.... If I were Jon, I would have taken Stannis offer.....
Jon should have definitely taken Stannis's offer. What's with the Stark family and honor. No wonder they are mostly dead. SMH... Khaleesi story line is a snooze fest. Can't stand her. The moment there is a revolt on her hand, one of her precious lil dragons comes back to be with her mommy.
I know it gets annoying to hear the book readers jump in, but I've also seen production notes online about where Khaleesi's story is going. It does vastly improve. But so far, too much stiff-legged portentous stand-in-profile dialogue. But good episode, hunh? No surprise to see the Faceless Man, not after seeing the actor's name in the opening credits, but good to have him back.
The intro is go good I actually watch it all the way through, even when it's recorded. I did a little fist pump when i saw his name. There were rumors he was coming back, but no hard confirmation.
Overall good episode... setting up great things it appears. The Brienne tavern scene was odd... quick trip to combat with that exchange... though I understood it went the way it did before swords started swinging. Damn those dragons got big quickly... Tywin was a little quick to dismiss the talk of them and call them small when he did. Very enjoyable, waiting for next week already.
Big difference saying that the story will improve eventually and saying what you said about the next three shows.
Not trolling, wanted to help the guy. But his comment definitely indicated big things in the foreseeable future for her, that's way more information than I posted. You guys surely have a weird code when it comes to what's a spoiler and what is not (seeing how no one reacted to Moe non-spoilering and hinting a big plot point on the same page I made my comment). I think at this point no one should even remotely spoiler anything, otherwise this makes no sense. And I'm okay with it, but please stick to that rule.
I think it's just best to post anything specific in spoiler tags. I must've missed Moes post, but thanks for the warning. I won't reread the thread. Hey, and sorry if I insulted you in any way.
John couldn't take the offer from Stannis. That would make him a deserter from the Night's Watch (punishable by death) AND the Northern lords take the Night's Watch more seriously than the southern lords. How could he command the respect of the North if he betrayed his oath to the Night's Watch, something his father PERSONALLY executed men for doing?
Good question. Not sure the show will ever explicitly state it, but considering travel time at this point it has to be at least 2 I would think.
