Mavs only had 8 more assists than Harden as an entire team

I would say Harden actually had a pretty solid night. You can't point to the guy who posted 24 points and 11 assists and somehow criticize him for not showing up. Yeah, his shooting was a bit off, but he more than made up for it in other areas : passing, play-making, defense, etc... And most importantly the team won! Also, the on/off court margin for Harden in this game is + 15, which is the highest along with Jason Terry. Harden definitely fulfilled his duty to help the Rockets win this first game. Just not in the usual way (aka scoring in bunches.) And that's OK.... As long as we win, it doesn't matter whether James Harden wants to be the play-maker on the court.

joining another team's board when you are not their fan is pathetic.

Good points. James did well, but we will need him to make his step back threes in the next game, along with his defense and passing.

I can't believe people here are trolling the Mavs forum.

Seriously? Where is the class? So pathetic.

I'm all for talking crap about the Mavs and their obnoxious fans but keep it in here! I would hate for another team's fan to troll us after a loss. And I know the people trolling the Mavs forum would cry Bloody Murder if that happened.

Its pathetic for people to take one victory and shove it in other fan's faces, on their own forum. Let the team win the series and that will be all the trolling you need to do.

Be happy we won this game and prepare for the next game. We haven't done anything, yet.

Honestly, other than a couple of minutes in the second quarter, this game never felt in doubt. And lets remember we didn't get a Harden "A" game and Dwight was in foul trouble.

Mavs were most dangerous when they were passing the ball. Johnson has to get minutes in the next game. He can slow their PG's down, and force them into making bad decisions.

I hope Howard won't get into foul trouble. Pick and rolls/ rebounding can make a big difference.

Glad we won Game 1. Pressure is always on the Home Team to win Game 1 to maintain home court advantage. The away team usually feels no pressure at all and plays freer.

While that pressure will still be there for Game 2, now there's some pressure on the away team to not fall 0-2. Let's see how Dallas responds to a little extra pressure.

I hope the Rockets come out with the same intensity here on out. Even if were a up 3-0, I want us to play as if we are in an elimination game. As James said, we have to be "greedy" and have a killer instinct.

Keep the Mavericks down, kick sand in their eyes then make them drink Rockets fuel.
