Why does Dwight always seem to get called for "bogus BS" fouls? At what point do we stop making excuses and call it like it is. He's just not a very bright player and never learns from mistakes. That's why he's still an undisciplined fouler, still sucks at the foul line, and is still a clumsy, inefficient post player.

    Tyson Chandler was a -18
    Dirk a -6
    Monta a -7

As bad as Smoove played, he was a +3

Really liked what Harden did in this game. The Mavs kept him from getting any easy shots or drives but instead of it getting in his head, he just took what they gave him and carved them up with his passing.

    Tough game for Smith...

I've been skeptical of Capela but he impressed me in this game.

I'm sure Carlisle will make his adjustments, but based on this game the Mavs absolutely can't handle the Rockets with Dwight. They can compete if Dwight's not around, but I'm not sure they can rely on the refs knocking Dwight out with early foul trouble in too many games.

Still a lot of series left but the Rockets should win this because they're the better defensive team.

Great win for the Rockets. Brewer is crazy good.
Man, I wish we still had D-Mo and Bev. We would have so much depth...

My guess? James doesn't sniff the free throw line more than 7 times in a game the rest of the series after Mark Cuban complains.

It will be Yao all over again.

    Yeah.

4-11, not great. Got 15 of his 24 from the FT line.

If I told you beforehand James would shoot just 11 times and the Rockets would win, you'd say no way.
Or you could say yes, but I guess there goes the [MVP] theory that James has no help. Had plenty of help tonight anyways.

Rockets had 45 FT attempts. (Made 32 for 71%) I don't know how long the series will go but how many times do you think they'll shoot 45 FTs again in the remaining however-many-games? They did it a maybe a few times but not as if they employed the Popovich HAR.

Harden himself out-shot the Mavs at the FT line (15-17 for Harden; 14-17 for the entire Mavs team)

Dwight Howard is literally the one superstar that gets no superstar calls. usually someone with his defensive resume gets the benefit of the doubt. Lebron gets to travel, Parker gets to carry, CP3 gets to whine. Dwight isn't doing g anything silly out there, they just call terrible calls. I've never seen these calls when he was with orlando or the lakers

I have to say as much as i liked Troy Daniels and Cannan, I am loving finally having veterans that know what it takes to win and are true professionals!

Like most of you I was disgusted at Dirk flops and fouls called on Howard. I thought refs will really try to screw this series.
But then I looked at the FT attempts: 17 to 45 in favour of Houston without any hack-a-someone strategy except for once on Smith. So even with Dirk flops and Howard calls keeping the game closer than it should be, we benefitted from whistle just as much.
