Agreed. He will not last. Kalle has been making a bad mistake by all this public ass-kissing.

Lahm must be put in his place - right back, or shut up and go to the bench. Alaba is the best left wing defender in the world. Götze - in my opinion - is still an amazing talent, but Pep never really wanted to give him the trust he needs. Mandzu was also not a bad guy - very good guy, actually.

Pep is in some ways brillant, but he is too fanatical and stubborn about his "system", whatever that is. It works great against weaker teams, but we would blow them out with a different system as well. With the players we have assembled, we have been failing against the better teams under Pep. And his playing favorites and backhanded games - like his fight with the medical staff - are tiring.

Remember how elated you guys were to get Pep? Not to rub it in, just saying it is an amazing plummet from such high hopes. I agree he is clearly the problem and his system is too rigid and maybe a bit behind the times. Interestingly, just a week or so ago I was reading articles (non-German, obviously) that were talking about how he has Bayern poised to be so much more than they were when they one the CL two years ago. Maybe it all changes and works out but for now it seems pretty brutal on the international stage. Even when they win they don't seem as scary.

I don't follow the Bundesliga, but I did think it was particularly weird that Bayern replaced Jupp with Pep after taking the team all the way in the CL. It's like replacing Pop for Phil Jackson, while keeping the same team.

Wouldn't it be hilarious if Bayern canned Pep and hired Klopp.

This is actually not a bad idea but I guess Klopp is tired and would want to work his way up again on a 'smaller' ball club.

    Less pressure.

No way Klopp goes to Bayern, completely different philosophy and also attacked Bayern multiple times in recent years. We would never hire a coach that solely relies on counterattacks.
I also think he wouldn't want a job here now, as they were big rivals and there were so many shots taken at each other.

I guarantee you guys he'll coach in England next season, he had a contract offer last April and asked for permission to leave, and it seems he has one now again. My bet is on City.

You must've missed the last page of this thread. Whole medical staff resigned after being blamed for the loss vs Porto.

Also, the whole staff of physical therapists will apparently leave today, this is insane. Hope we'll soon find out what happened after the game, the fallout is unparalleled.

Yup, missed the discussion but I hope Wohlfahrt will continue to do good work with athletes, not only soccer/football players but also other athletes (skiing,....)

    Somewhere else.

He's 72, think he'll stick to being a private doctor in Munich and won't go to another club. He's established enough and a brand for himself, doesn't need to play doc for a sports club.

None of my business... but by all means send him back home.
Fyi.. he's been like this since the Barca days not just as a coach but also as a player in the 90s, so if your executives hired him that's on them.

Good games to watch today, FA Cup semifinal, Arsenal vs. Reading, is on FOX right now and at the same time in the Premier League, Chelsea vs. Manchester United is on NBC.

I don't understand Van Gaal's overhauling of the lineup today...especially after how well they played last week. Falcao is bad and shouldn't even make the bench right now...let alone starting this game. Is Carrick hurt or something? I don't get it.

For the Barca brehs, how good is Rafinha Alcàntara? What does he play like? Heard a Bayern inside source saying he's going to Bayern this summer, nearly done deal.
