Knock on wood... but who knows, like I said before, if coach can give him confidence, the ceiling isn't even his limits, the galaxy is. He's barely 20 and he's a baby. Feed him, and he will grow beyond our imagination.

Like this horse... imagine Capela playing this big in the playoffs. Will scare the **** outta teams!

Capela and Dorsey probably had a FT match for back up job and Dorsey most likely lost for sure..

I predict 48 mins of rim protection if Dwight plays 35 mins and Capela plays 13.

Nah, but has the discipline to keep his long arms in the air and be a presence down low!

For matchup purposes and talent he is already a better player than Dwight junior

Junior meaning... rookie Dwight? Or are you talking about Dorsey?

Watching Dwight's rookie highlights above... he jumps and has similar explosiveness as Capela (jumping like a monkey and just wanting to hammer it down)... but Dwights on court awareness seems much, much more fluid than Capela's; which I think is in reason because Dwight was allowed to play 30+ minutes per game as a rookie, where Capela never really got a chance to get comfortable with our system.

No other choice. Amare and Aminu are just too tall for Dorsey. We just can't have a layup drill when Howard sits. Young Capela has to hold fort and not be too aggressive. Who knows, Dream's tutoring must be really paying off as McHale has said he likes what he sees in Capela.

I never thought Capela at the end of year one, at still twenty years old, would even be in the discussion for playoff mintues. It just speaks to his potential.

Sure, why not? Dirk's lateral movement ain't what it used to be. Long arms and springs for legs, so, why not?

Actually, D-Mo's absence is the thing pushing Capela up the chain. But I got what you are saying. I love Capela's potential too.

Capela brings an "Edge" that when he does something positive like jamming a nasty dunk our team goes nuts and they feed off that energy. We've seen it a couple times in games where Capela has this kind of impact....he just "might be" an X Factor in the playoffs. I can see him averaging at least 10 points 5 rebounds in the playoffs

A 20 year old rookie that has never really experienced high pressure basketball will inevitably succumb to bad fouls against a savvy vet like Dirk.

If all it took to defend a jumpshooter was length and hops, you'd see a hell of a lot more unrefined players getting playing time.

    10pts 5 reb?

    Please temper your expectations, guys

That guy was misquoting McHale. McHale said that he would use them in different situations and refused to recognize one over the other. He said that Dorsey is better at bodying up big men and Capella is great at attacking the basket.

If Dallas are playing Dirk at center, they have bigger problems than we do

Last 2 games, CC was 4-8 from the line. Not stellar, but could be worse.
Especially shows that he's getting better!

He WAS 0-10 until that point. Then all of a sudden 50%.
Seems like his FT shooting form has improved too. Someone has been practicing!

If he can get to 60-70%, he'll get plenty of PT in the future.
    Keep practicing Clint!

True and excited for capela. Unfortunately dmos injury has accelerated his involvement.
