Pad Thai from Thai gourmet wings from wing stop Fried shrimp and rice from mambos Fajitas from papasitos
I have been craving some lemon pepper wings from Wing Stop. I am going to try and make some Saturday before the game starts. I typically prefer classic Buffalo wings but those lemon pepper wings are something special.
It is called "Bun Cha Gio". While yes it has oil and sugar in it if done right it's isn't that oily. The pork is grilled so a lot of the fat should've dripped off during cooking and while the egg rolls are deep fried they should be drained prior to being added to the salad. Also the egg rolls and pork shouldn't dominate the dish but be balanced with the cold rice noodles and a lot of raw vegetables. The sauce has sugar in it but that also shouldn't be very sweet. One reason I could eat that every day is that it is a balance of flavors and textures. So while parts might be oily and sweet that is a compliment to the crunch of the raw vegetables and the sourness of some of the other ingredients.
Here in Tanzania there is a local place that makes a steak roll. It is flattened filet with grilled onions and gravy. I have them add cheese and a fried egg to it. They also have these things called pepper chips, which are french fries that are tossed in a peppercorn gravy that they would use for the pepper steak dish. Now I am hungry. It comes with a small side salad with carrot and cucumbers.
