You know Monta-ball does not scare me as much, as this thing that they were doing early in the season when Chandler and Wright were dunking everything off the PnR action. That was devastating basketball.

Wright? The same Wright that's on the Suns now? Oh, ok.

If Dwight in the paint and Ariza/Brewer on the perimeter aren't enough to slow him down then I don't know what is and we don't deserve to win.

not really scare of Monta. Its Dirk that scares me.Yes he is playing old and horrible. And the one player that can keep Dirk in check is our very own JSmoove. Who blow hot and cold.

Brewer, Ariza and Johnson should take turns defending him, along with Harden at times.

Dirk is the guy the Rockets need to worry about with DMo out. He would have been great in this series, creating a mismatch vs Dirk on the offensive end while being able to guard him on defense.

Whenever he looks like getting hot, foul Rondo if they're in the penalty to disrupt his rhythm

hack a Ronda to stop Monta

Monta Ellis will get his numbers. Who i'm wary is Parson. He's a streaky player but when he is "on" his shooting percentage goes off the roof. id rather see Ellis takes a lot of shot than see an efficient Parson. Then there's Tyson Chandler. I'm a little worried about the two chandlers. Dirk not too much he can't run no more.

Not a bad idea. I also ascribe to the idea that Monta is a mentally weak player and will shrink if we take him out of the game.

Play strong team defense, never let up, move the ball but not TOO much, make free throws, my GOD, make free throws, and then let the Beard make any residual Monta going-off look like a pathetic whimper in comparison.

Love this idea....also attack him offensively, the problem with that is he will probably play terry a lot since rondo is gonna guard harden, put that small body to the test with screens, drives, hard fouls etc.

The first time he drives into the lane, knock him on his butt. When fouling him, foul him hard.

Force him to take contested 2's and live with results. If he's on he's on let him have all the 3's he wants.

Dirk is too old. He will have one or two games against us, but nowhere near at the elite level he once was. The guy that must be contained is Monta. Dude still has game.

If Harden covers Monta, I'd be inclined to call it foolish. He will get Harden in foul trouble; he will get Harden fatigued.

I agree with the prior post - cheat off of Rondo's guy and double on some of iso plays.

Keep the ball in Rondo's hands.

Rondo has done nothing but hurt Monte since the trade.

    Ariza/Brewer on Monta
Harden on Parsons (kinda feel like he's scared of Harden)
    Terry/Pablo/KJ on Rondo
    Smith/Jones on Dirk/Amare
    Dwight/Capela on Tyson

I don't think we can underestimate Amare and Devin Harris. Each can have a big quarter that can do just enough to keep them in it.

    JSmoove can handle Dirk.
