Exactly. I was thrilled when a young Mavs team knocked out Stockton/Malone in 2001... but little did I know that I would grow to hate the Dirk/Cuban/Flop era just as much.

GS was 3-1 against the Pels in the regular season.

Wouldn't hurt my feelings to see the Brow lying on the court ala '94 Mutombo

Thank you, Pels! You did something Rockets couldn't do for themselves.

So now you know the value of Asik.

Trading 4 draft spots for 4 playoffs spots is completely worth it.

Next season standards will be: Get to the second round or else you're fired... lulz.

If the Pelicans lost, the seeding would have been:

    1. GSW
    2. SAS
    3. LAC
    4. POR
    5. HOU
    6. MEM
    7. DAL
    8. OKC

So, our path to the finals would have been:

    1st round: POR (HCA)
2nd round: vs GSW (likely) or OKC (HCA)
3rd round: vs SAS (likely) or LAC or MEM (HCA) or DAL (HCA)

    Now it is:

    1st round: DAL (HCA)
2nd round: LAC (HCA) or SAS (HCA)
3rd round: GSW (likely) or MEM (HCA) or POR (HCA) or OKC (HCA)

Not sure which 1st round matchup is more favorable, considering that Portland is really short-handed. However, if we get past the first round, then our second round matchup is more favorable -- avoid GSW, and we'll have home court advantage.
