I dont know which team is the best matchup for the Rockets but I do know of all the WCF teams, Mavs have to be the best matchup for Harden. Mavs dont have an elite perimeter defender. They dont have good rim protection either. Which means Harden should be cooking.
The Mavericks are hard to beat in a 7 game serious because of their coach. Rick makes exceptional adjustments and they can shoot well. The Rockets should be favored but will need to play well and disciplined to win. The Mavs aren't losing this series in 4-5 games.
I think this is going to be the key to the series for Dallas. How do they guard Harden? I think Ellis will have a very difficult time. I wouldn't be surprised to see Rondo, Parsons, and maybe even Aminu deliberately matched up on Harden at various points during the series. Without one great defensive matchup for Harden, I expect Carlisle to throw a lot of different looks his way to try to throw him off. That being said, I still think Harden is going to go off. GO ROCKETS!!!!!!
Dwight is finally back to play starter minutes. Harden will feast on Rondo and Ellis. Parsons may not play. Dorsey (hopefully) won't play. Rockets in 5.
Great job on the rotation using Capella as the back up center. Cant afford another poor free throw shooter in dorsey.
That is what they said when Dirk was MVP and they got beaten by the lowly 8 th seed Warriors back then.
Pretty sure that got swept under the rug after that championship. If there's one person we shouldn't underestimate it's Dirk. Hopefully, he keeps playing like an old man and we get the easy win.
