    Blake or Cousins?

I was discussing this with some of my friends, and it was interesting because both of them are young and have great potential as the 4/5. This doesn't have to be for the Rocket's purposes (it can), just if you were to build a team, who would you choose first?

Cousins. He's more skilled and doesn't rely on his athleticism like Blake. Besides, Blake's production has been on a downward trend now, and he isn't making strides with his shooting. As soon as his athleticism starts to fade, we'll forget about him.

Blake raised his FT% 139 points since last year and shoots a higher percentage on jump shots that Cousins.

Cousins still commits too many fouls, too many turnovers, and shoots too many jumpers. Right now the only thing he does better than Griffin is rebound. Right now you have to choose Blake.

    Cousins without a doubt.

Cousins has a game similar to Zach Randolph except he's bigger, taller and more mobile. Plus Cousins is only 22. He's still immature but if he can put everything together he'd be so damn good. I hope he figures it out.

That's the difference between having Chris Paul as your leader and playing on a winning team. If you replaced Blake with Cousins the Clippers would actually have a legit post threat and be able to resemble a half-court offense. Cousins is a big boy and he plays like it. For all the flashy dunks Griffin does he still doesn't know how to use his body and get position or create space and he can't defend worth a damn either.

The only thing Blake will ever do better than Cousins is dunk.

Griffin had his most productive season offensively without Chris Paul.

Cousins doesn't play like a big boy half the time. He hangs out 18 feet from the basket and puts up long jumpers or turns the ball over trying to beat his man off the dribble. He doesn't play defense. His footwork on the low block is inferior to Griffin's at this point. He's inferior as a roll man on the PnR.

Cousins is a young player being featured on a bad team, who has a lot of potential but hasn't lived up to it. The player he could be if he actually played smart and made good decisions isn't the player that he is.

Ha good catch. Well if a mod wants to do it, there would not be a complaint here, but I am sure the meaning is meant. It is Blake Griffin, the PF for the Clippers.

    Thirded.

I wouldn't want to build around Griffin or Cousins.

griffin has a jumper, albeit some games he is off, but it'll improve every year. He's also been in the post more and more. Not sure how many Clippers game you guys watch, but he does do more than just dunk this year. Not to mention he's got his head on his shoulder meanwhile, never know with Cousins. Cousins more skilled in the post but he enjoy taking those long jumpers and just doesn't have basketball IQ.

Bumping my own thread (I know, I know).

    Any changes in y'alls decisions?

Blake had a great '14 campaign. Team has success, but how much of it is CP3?

Cousins had a great '15 campaign, but is still lacking team success.

With the playoffs coming for Blake, and Cousins on the trade block, I believe it is a very relevant question again.
