I've done a search on NBA.com and the only thing I can find is the 13 man roster limit. I think this applies to the regular season. Does anyone know what the roster limit numbers are and is Capella eligible for the roster since he has been in and out of the D. League?
Dmo and kj are going to be omitted. They still need to to omit one more player. I guess it comes down to beverley or kpap.

Cool. I never understood limiting a play-off roster, it was a ridiculous rule. The NBA has way too many rules and regulations as is. That a player signed after a certain date cannot be part of the play-off roster is also still a big hurdle for all the injuries teams sustain.
It's not that he cannot be signed after a certain date, anyone signed after 3/1 can be on your playoff roster, he just cannot have been on another team after 3/1 and then let go and the team signs him.
Hmm interesting, still that part about being on another team after 3/1 is ridiculous. A guy on a 10 day contract somewhere could be let go and then signed by a team who really needs him.
I would put that on the player/agent. If you think you can make a playoff roster but sign with a team that eventually cuts you, you didn't do your due diligence. And most teams needing playoff help (seriously) won't be looking at 10 day contracts, only if they need temp help only.
Or, a contender could strike a win-wink deal with a lotto team. The lotto team would buy out their guy with a heavy but expiring contract in the last days of the season. Because his contract is rich, no one can pick him up off of waivers, and the player signs with the contender for the playoffs and changes the balance of power. The contender then returns the favor in the offseason with a favorable trade.
