Chandler is my secret dream for the Rockets. A younger Ariza type. Good on D. Has heart. And can stick the 3.
Not if GS doesn't make it out of that bracket... If we see them in the 2,3,6,7 bracket, it means we are in the WCF. And I will take THAT over seeing them in round 2.
I must have been drugged at some point this. I appear to be the only person on here who not only A) Wants the Spurs over the Warriors and B) Doesn't mind the Clippers The 2 seed would be lovely, but seems rather unlikely. I don't mind LAC simply because their depth is horrible. They're not the nightmare they were last year. The 5 seed is what I want to avoid simply because I don't want our best case scenario to be a Warriors embarrassment, which it would be.
And plus in our championship years we didn't beat our fiercest opponents, the Sonics. Winning is about matchups. You don't have to beat EVERYONE, just who you see on your road through the playoffs. And if matchups play out... we may never even SEE GS.
I'm just watching the play-by-play of the Clippers game, yet I can hear the Clippers complaining every call. Goodness, I hope we don't play the Clippers in the playoffs. The NBA would hate is. Hack a player on both sides and Clippers complaining after every Harden foul.
it doesn't matter who you face, you still have to win 4 games in a series people worry too much on who we face, if we are good enough, it won't matter who we face
That is if you think Klay is the Klay of now.... Mostly Rockets have been on the receiving end of 'over the hill players' and players that could not get back to their fantastic shape And Injured Players. outside of Harden obviously (we got him at age 23)
Part of me agrees with that. If you spend too much time trying to avoid one team over other you don't want it enough or are not focusing on the right things. But as a fan, I am leery of any GS matchup.
I'd prefer the Spurs over the Warriors too. As for the Clippers, I think we could take them. But I'd much rather face Portland, Dallas, or even Memphis.
