if memphis loses, we'll get 5 seed if we win on wed. other than that, do we still want/need the clippers to lose (i know them losing + us losing gives us 5th seed anyways)?
I would rather have Portland. 1. Revenge 2. Injury has hit them at best possible time for us. 3. I honestly would love the opportunity to face GS in the second round if we make it past Portland
You know it's funny I'm trying to come up with a Rocket who even jokingly could do something like this other than Harden. Got nothing.
Yes, but Parsons is legitimately hurt. There was a story that even if this was game 1 of the playoffs, he'd have to sit out.
How do you beat a team when you have two guys who can just go off like that? There is no defense for that.
And Steph hasnt even returned to the game...its just not fair that they have both these guys...on dirt cheap deals...not fair
Whether the Clips win or loss has very little meaning to us, if the Spurs win, they are the 2 seeds, and if Clips will lose, we will move up to 3rd and play against the Griz in first round and Spurs second round, that could be ever worse than in 5th.
I like the first scenario better. Dirk is old, and you can score inside easier against Dallas, and I think we actually matchup alright with the Spurs when Dwight is playing a full 30-35 minute game. You don't want to go in to GS in the second round. They have only lost two home games all year, and are fully healthy. Maybe when the smoke is all clear and the Western Conference Finals start, the Warriors might be banged up and we could be getting Wolverine back.
Klay Thompson has 35 freaking points already in the 2nd quarter. 7 threes. He can break the three point record, easily. WTF. Man, if Harden had the pg equivalent to Klay Thompson...
Indiana and Nets are locked in the 8th seed race in the east. Nets have the tie breaker, but Pacers can finish one W better if both teams win out. That puts Pacers in a must win situation against the Griz on Wed. Hahaha.
