Portland is getting banged up. If we can't play Dallas, Portland is the next best bet. Would love to get revenge either way with the Mavs from 2005 or last year and the Blazers. Still scared about LMA though. He can be limping on one foot and have a broken thumb and still put up 35/12 agaisnt us..
We'll know by Wednesday when we tip off what's at stake cuz the Clippers will be done playing after tomorrow. If LA wins out and the Grizzlies lose tonight at the Warriors, then we're looking at either the 2nd or 5th seed(assuming we beat Utah) depending on that Pelicans game. The good news is everything is going the Rockets' way so far tonight. The Bulls destroyed the Nets which keeps the Pacers' playoff hopes alive. They play at Memphis on Wednesday. And New Orleans and OKC are leading in the 4th quarter. If they hold on, that means the Pelicans have to beat the Spurs to get the 8th seed, cuz I don't see the Thunder losing at Minnesota with a playoff spot on the line.
And I can't believe it, but I have no choice but to root for them that night(and the Warriors tonight). I want that 2nd seed, damn it!
More bad news for the Blazers: <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Portland G CJ McCollum (left ankle sprain) will not return.</p>— Trail Blazers PR (@TrailBlazersPR) <a href="https://twitter.com/TrailBlazersPR/status/587787491471572992">April 14, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
I seriously think Portland matchup > Dallas matchup with all the injuries... also, matt harpring dick rides on the mavs so hard; I really hope we blow out the Jazz for the last game of the season...
And didn't Kaman get injured too? CJ, Kaman and Leonard were three guys that were x factors in both of our loses to the Blazers this season. Could be a good thing if we have to face them.
the knicks cant do anything right, they defeat the hawks in atlanta and now the twolves have the worst record in the nba. we no longer have the first pick of the second round
Seeding before pick status. Getting the 2nd seed can mean we: a) face Dallas in the first round b) have home court in the 2nd round, plus get to avoid the Warriors c) have Spurs, Warriors, Grizzlies and Clippers fight each other first c) Have home in the third round if we make it past round 2 and Warriors lose
Memphis has to lose tonight for the Rox to move up. Assuming they lose and OKC and HOU wins on Wednesday, the Rockets are in a pretty good spot: either NO loses and the Rockets play a banged up Blazer team with HCA in the 1st round WITH a lottery pick, OR if NO wins then the Rockets pick falls to 18 BUT we get the 2 seed. Hopefully I'm not getting a head of myself here, still need a couple of things to go our way.
