Probably should emphasize that my buddy was one of those guys that would have bet we would win 90+ games in March and now maybe 60. Just wishy washy after a week of play. My point is that 3 innings doesn't dictate a game and that people assume a few bad at bats mean a team can't perform. And damn... Carter almost made this game closer.

Valbuena has had a decent past few games. Nice to see him string some good ABs together after that spring.
this is interesting...its not a bad idea, put the kid in a 'no pressure' situation and let him get some innings in, build his confidence. Also, he gives the bullpen a rest--Hinch wants to save the bullpen. Not sure about who pitches tomorrow though .
