House Tyrell, not house Tully. House Tully were the fish that swam with King Robb. They are persona non grata on the show now.
Agreed. No one there is interesting at all Cersai is the most interest but I could careless about her and I d*mn sure don't want the Man on Man p*rn sessions to become an on-going stable of the show and that seems to be the big thing in King's Landing now Did Grandma Tyrell leave? She was funny and interesting but none of her descendents are . . . Rocket River
Seems like a pretty big plot hole here honestly, because I'm pretty sure it was Varys who used one of his little birds to try to assassinate Dany in season 1 or 2 in that marketplace before Jorah saved her because of his change of hart. Also, in general, I've ruminated about the episode more and I've become even more disenchanted. 1) I hope we've seen the last of the "LOL did you know I'm gay?" stuff with Loras. It's not interesting at all. His character isn't interesting at all. It's like he only exists to have gay sex scenes and crack gay jokes. 2) I don't get what is going on with Jamie. He went from being sort of redeemed to being all about being in love with her again? Nonsensical. 3) I don't get why Tyrion has fallen into such a stupor. 4) Varys went from being the master chess player shrouded in mystery to being a whiny populist that spills the beans about his plans to...Tyrion? Since when did Varys need to beg and come clean to get someone with "talent" to help him. He's a manipulator! 5) They said that the guy in charge of Castle Black is now a hero...why? He got shot with an arrow or something and carried to hiding while Jon Snow saved the world. WTF? 6) Brienne and her squire/not squire melodrama looks like it will wear me out QUICK. Hope that storyline either changes fast or gets dropped fast. I thought were done with the plucky squire earning her respect nonsense. 7) Speaking of those two, isn't it funny how by sheer dumb luck they've been within 100 feet of both Stark girls? LOL 8) Can't handle the relationship between Grey Worm and his girlfriend. 9) I don't feel any gravity in the "learning to rule" storyline that is going on with Danys. Seems like the big stuff (her army went and conquered another city or something?) is happening off screen while she is squabbling over little stuff? 10) Maybe I'm crazy, but I found it weird that Stannis mentioned Bolton stabbing Robb Stark. Is that common knowledge throughout Westeros? Seems like it would be hard for him to have support if he were known to have betrayed his king and his lord and assisted in the massacre of hundreds (maybe thousands?) of Northmen? Dunno...?
Not to FIGHT for Tyrion. Also, another frustration. So, Littlefinger goes through all that trouble to get to the Eyrie with Sansa, kills his wife and becomes the Lord of the Vale. Then he leaves with Sansa and leaves the little boy with someone else? Isn't that boy his meal ticket? Maybe I'm just confused by the succession here...
Yeah, Tywin married him off to some lady with money and a castle. Knighted him or something too. No idea if he shows back up or not later, I'll miss ol' Bron.
It's Cardpire. He gets upset over anything deemed vaguely spoilerish (even if it really isn't). I know others are wary of spoilers too, and they have a right to be, but he sets the extreme end of spectrum and will often complain about stuff that literally no one else cares about.
It doesn't make sense. Illyrio was the one trying to help Dany and her creepy brother get the Dothraki army from the start. Remember it was his house that they stayed out. We know in another season Illyrio met with Varys in Westeros (saw them in the dungeon together or some other place.) So they've been working together for awhile and Illyrio has been supporting Dany. So why did Varys try to kill Dany?
I think Dany has basically been in limbo until she finally meets Tyrion. They had to invent **** for her to do while **** was going down in Westeros.
Yeah, I don't get why he's in such a hurry to get Sansa "somewhere where even Cersei can't get to you". I thought the Eyrie *was* that place, especially since nobody there knows who she really is.
It's Cannonball. His hobby is rallying a lynch mob, and ignoring all the posters other than me who are making the same complaints.
Look guys, I'm sure this thread will devolve into a war over spoilers at some point, but let's not let it get there today.
But it was actually Robert that gave the order to Varys right? Maybe Varys actually sabotaged the plan but made it seem like he was carrying out Robert's plan? Maybe the wine wasn't poison after all, but for some reason the wine merchant thought it was. Maybe in the books this plan is described more in detail (not a book reader)? Here's the assassination attempt: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIGYQr6ldJk
Basically .. . it was his job Why did The Old Knight go to Dany after being kicked out. Before being kicked out . . .he would have cut her head off in an instant because it was his job . . .. In these stories. . . people have honor in doing their jobs once released from those obligations . .. they can do what they want In the early part of the series Varys was as manipulative as Little Finger They have gotten away from that and not did a good job with his character If they had . .. their may have been a better explaination While he might have an some affection for Tyrion [he never showed alot] .. . . he did not show any for Jaimie So I don't know why he would help because Jaimie asked him too . . .
