" Don't expect heavy action in the next three weeks." Feel free to give me any reasonable explanation as to why on god's green earth he'd say that, and how is that not a spoiler? What's the point? What purpose does posting that and telling people who haven't seen the next 3 episodes serve? Is he doing us a favor? Maybe I'm just insane and wrong, and everybody else is right.
You and Buck go nuts over me talking about something as trivial as pace, but don't comment at all on guys like moe touching a subject that's not even yet in the episodes and can have a huge outcome on the whole series? You even realize how stupid this is and that you're getting worked up over nothing, while some guys here talk about plot points that change the whole perspective on the show and influecen the future? My comment about pace doesn't spoiler or influence anything. Like Lunchbox said, if a critic who's seen the episodes said something like "this will be a good season", would you guys go apesh**, throw in foul language and say he spoiled your viewing experience? I completely agree when someone talks about major twists and plot lines, but I talked about pace and nothing more. And like I said, funny there are way bigger potential theories and spoilers here and you don'T say a word abotu that, but you go nuts over my tiny comment about pace.
Interesting characters this season for me (not including those who have not yet been introduced) will be: Brienne Arya Tyrion Could be interesting: Jaime and Cersei Sansa Meh but should be more interesting: Daenerys Jon Snow Stannis Petyr ::EDIT:: Also, this is the first time I'll be following a season as it airs. After reading the last couple pages, seems like the smart thing to do would be to avoid this thread until the season is over.
Right now my list looks like this: Interesting Tyrion Arya (putting her here even though we haven't seen here yet) Could be interesting Daenerys Stannis Sansa Not interested Brienne Jamie and Cersei I know I SHOULD be interested but I have no feels when they are on screen Jon Snow Littlefinger
was 50/50 on her vs her daughter at first glance, then raised to about 75% cersei when she made the comment about her father, but couldn't put it at 100% quite yet since they'd never had a flashback before (that i could remember)
Like Falcons Talon said, it takes away any anticipation and anxiety about what to expect in the next few weeks. It's not a plot spoiler, but it does ruin some excitement when episodes air. Having seen up to episode 3, I considered mentioning something similar but thought it would ruin the experience of weekly watchers.
Almost immediately. I thought maybe she had killed that brunette friend of hers and it was showing a flashback of her cold ruthless days as even a kid. So the witch said you will be queen for a short while and another hotter younger queen will overtake you. Your husband will have many sons and you will only have three children with gold crowns. She also mentioned something about all three children dying. What else did she say or is that everything?
Her prophecy: You will not marry the Prince, you will marry a King You will be Queen, for a time. Then someone will come and take it from you as well as all you hold dear. Someone younger and better looking. You and the King will have no children. He will have twenty children and you will have 3. Gold will be their crowns and gold their shrouds.
As soon as that girl started talking you knew that kind of smarmy cuntiness could only come from one source.
Agreed. LOL I knew very quickly. Real life question: If some twisted weird witch type thing had given you a specific prophecy like those and then 30 years later your life was playing out along those lines, how freaked out would you be? Daaaaaaaaaaaaang gurl!
My problem with her is that I don't care about her absent her interactions with Tywin and Tyrion and the Starks. Now that she is going to be brooding and fighting with Margery Tyrell over her son I just can't give a care. I feel like they will be just warring over small stuff while we wait for the big stuff to land at their doorstep.
I like Jamie. Sometimes. They could murder Cersei's children in front of her and I would feel nothing.
Oh I agree. Her & Jamie and her & Margeary don't interest me at all. I still have hope for Sansa though, maybe Littlefinger succeeds in totally corrupting her. Evil Sansa would be fun.
Yep. I can't even picture her two kiddos in my head. Joffrey was a way more powerful character on screen. But alas, his star burned so hot that it had to fade away. To follow up your point though, Cersei could murder Margery and I wouldn't get the feels either. She could kill that little priest boy and I wouldn't bat an eyelash. I don't even really feel the desire to see her die like I do the Freys. If Tyrion kills her at some point I guess I'll be happy for the little imp, but it won't carry the emotional reward of seeing the Frey's get their comeuppance or Bolton or watching Tyrion strangle his booty call. King's Landing has become the LEAST interesting place in the show for me with the departure of Tyrion and the death of Tywin.
The reason I think Cersei could be interesting is because she now has everything against her: she can no longer run to daddy, her son is the King but he's weak and can be easily taken advantage of, House Tyrell (the only house that could really pose a threat to the Lannisters according to Tywin in season 4) seem to be in position to take charge, and her connection with Jaime seems to be weaker than it once was. So it could be interesting to see what she does to maintain/acquire power. It might not, but I see her and Jaime as the two wildcards this season. I have no idea what Jaime will do - or even what he wants to do.
I am just anticipating a meltdown by Cersie. After all the stuff she's gone through, I'm wondering what kind of train wreck that could be. I just want to add that I love being in the dark. I have no clue what to expect week to week and have made the decision not to research possible spoilers. All I know is my Sunday evening will look like this for the duration of the season...fire up the bbq pit at 4, eat at 7, shower settle in, poor myself a jack and coke, pour gf a salty dog, watch GoT, and then watch Salem.
