Man, thought this episode was kind of terrible honestly. Not because it was slow, but because the best actors on the show are all dead.

In my opinion, the most memorable actors (with a major part) to date have been Tywin, Ned, Cat, Arya (never thought I'd think that lol), the Hound and the Red Viper and of course, Tyrion. Four of them are confirmed dead, one might be dead, and Arya wasn't in the episode at all.

It's going to be hard for Tyrion to be interesting enough to be the only good actor in a major role. I get that I'm supposed to care about Jon Snow, but I just can't. He's too emo for me. I feel like he should be in Twilight. The actor playing the lover for Danny is weak. I miss her obsessed knight. Varys is better in limited doses when he is mysterious.

Eh...lots of naked men, lots of weak actors...I'm nervous.

Agree with this. This first episode was weak acting, naked men, and nothing really happening. I actually dozed off once. I have episodes two and three downloaded but am hesistant on watching them. Kinda want to wait and watch it in HD with everyone else.

I actually paused it to do some laundry. That may not sound crazy, but trust me, for me to pause GOT to do a chore is crazy.

Jon Snow's secret is pretty obvious by now I thought. Not that you would gather it from the show by yourself, but if you've been exposed to the theory it makes perfect sense.

It also makes sense when you think about why Mellisandre would be asking him if he was a virgin.

So are we starting a spoilers thread? I kinda watched episode 2 because I was disappointed with the premiere and would love to discuss it

If you wouldn't gather it unless being exposed to a spoiler, isn't that pretty much the opposite of "pretty obvious?"

Yeah I guess so, I just figured some of you would maybe know about it since it is technically a theory and not a spoiler.

Anyone who was active in last season's thread knows about it because one poster couldn't stop talking about it and all kinds of other things to show you how big his book knowledge peen was.

We will have our revenge when the show passes the books.

Then I'm going to troll the book thread and start every post with "Well If you were at the point I'm at you'd understand it better".

To discuss the events of last night: The only thing that seems interesting to me is that Jon Snow will probably hold the loyalty of the Wildlings.

Wow you must've not watched the 4th episode, where the Wildlings are riding dragons and blow Jon's head off with a concentrated fire breath.

Ummm, book readers are still going to be watching the show. You won't be spoiling anything for anybody.

So you're telling me not a single precious book reader will be holding out to read the book before watching the final episodes? Doubtful.

I'm looking forward to do the day the show passes the books. I started on the show, read all the books in the offseason, and then found I couldn't enjoy the show as much anymore -- mostly because they can't tell the story as well as the books can, and because it drives me nuts when they do something different in the show when they'd be better off following the book's lead. That won't bother me anymore (I hope) when I don't know where they're different. And then I'll later get to enjoy reading how the book does it better when it is ultimately published.

I don't know why I'm not catching on, but can someone explain the significance of Mellisandre asking if Jon is a Virgin.

Please use spoiler tags for those who don't want know book spoilers.

I know about all the Jon Snow theories but don't get how that is significant.
