While I do not relish facing Chris Paul in the playoffs, I get some amount of satisfaction knowing the Mavs will face the Spurs after they said they wanted to face us. hahahaha
Even if the Spurs win out and Clippers win out the Clippers get the 2nd seed and Spurs get the 3rd seed. Rockets win out with these two winning out Rockets get 5th seed since the Grizzlies will end up losing one tomorrow against GSW.
Next to GS, the Clippers are I worst match up. I know, SA is not who we want either, but at least they are very familiar with minimal travel.
You act like we'd be smart enough to do this? Maybe by game 5 McHale would start hacking Jordan.... If we aren't swept in the first place .
Not true. In that scenario, the Spurs would be 2nd seed and the Clippers 3rd. The Spurs win the tie breaker over the Clippers by the virtue of winning their division.
It's crazy just 2 months ago the Spurs were near the bottom of the division and people talking about the possibility of missing the playoff. Now they are about to win the division title.
It will be Portland. Except this time we won't have Parsons not guarding Lillard in last play scenarios.
Clippers and Spurs are awful matchups for our current roster. Clippers play good D against Harden and benches aren't as important in playoffs. Our best shot is vs. the Mavs and then the Blazers.
After the ass-reaming by the Spurs, our best hope of beating anyone is the Mavs. And that's a 40/60 proposition not in our favor.
Dwight was dominating the Spurs then he had to sit down. No minute restrictions in the playoffs. I'm not saying I prefer the Spurs, I'm just saying.
Golden State doesn't have anything to play for so they may rest the starters to screw Harden's MVP chances.
