After sleeping on it...I'm oddly cool with things. Last night was infuriating, but oh well. We're 6th with a solid chance to still move back up. I mean...Wednesday's game sucked, but 1 point loss to the hottest team in the league amidst thousands of mistakes? Could be worse.

I wanted the Mavs, and I wanted Harden MVP, but honestly the difference between the 2 and the 6 seed in terms of competition is minuscule. I am okay with any first round opponent we play outside of the Spurs.

Maybe I'm a fool, but I am not jumping ship.

Playing the Mavs at the 2 seed compared to the clips, Spurs , or memphis as a 6th seed is huge!

You don't get it do you. Two free throws would have been a false sense of victory. Your top two points have been a problem all year! They shouldn't be problems. Stop being careless and take care of the ball. Stop being reckless, slow down and prevent some turnovers. Free throw shooting is half mental as Howard commented. Im not sure why they have so many poor shooters

At this point it doesn't really matter who we play now we can't get the 2nd seed. Just rest Harden, Ariza and Jones. And get the young guys some much needed playtime. Could care less if Harden goes off against scrub teams to win the scoring title. Would much rather him be rested for the playoffs

exactly, a lot of those are products of the undisciplined play/lack of a system. People are just like, "we didn't take care of the ball etc"

"or we didn't make our FTs"--UHHH...have you seen our FT shooters and shooting this entire season???

It all starts up top with Les giving the extension to McHale to prevent a lame duck coach scenario. Next is McHale and his no accountability on the players.

Still a slim chance we get the 2nd seed. Can't quit now.

I hope we get the 5 seed. Portland will be easier than Dallas, Spurs, Clippers or Memphis. If we see Golden State in the 2nd round. The 4 times we lost could easily result in the winning momentum being swung our way with just one win. Important to remember the west is really tight record wise and these season games won't even be remembered once playoffs begin. It doesn't matter where the rockets play either home or away... they are pretty much the same team in any arena. I'm just saying it makes no sense to put too much emotion into season things right now. Either your first or last at the end of the day.

I can't wait to troll the Western conference leaders and media starting as a 6 seed.

My question with getting the 5th seed is: Who can stop or limit LMA? I thought D-Mo or Dorsey could, but can't.

What does Clutch City have to do with anything. That was 2 decades ago.

Absolutely nobody. Portland is too tall for us unless McHale gives Capella Dorsey's minutes he will receive when Dwight gets rest or ultimately foul trouble. But we know that won't happen. If we face Portland LMA will average 30 again. The key would be stopping Dame which I think can be done with Ariza and Brew.

Howard? Hungry? That's the million dollar question. I honestly have no idea as he looks like he's just along for the ride. Harden's rise to top dog on the team has allowed him to collect his money, clown around and grin all the way to the bank. The fact that he's missed 39 games due to injury adds the concern that his best days are behind him now. Can he make a difference in the playoffs? Possibly but not very likely in my book. It is what it is I suppose.

There's one player that has shown up in every playoff series of his entire career on this team

    and that player isn't Harden
