Houston fans have waited for a long time to be in division winning territory. The last time w
was in 93-94, the year they became chokers. This year there's no division w
winning going on, but choke city has returned. Under McHale every single year, the Rockets have faded down the stretch of the season. The last time it ended with a dagger 3. Will this year be the turnaround to Clutch City?

Don't think it applies here. Didn't that happen during the play-offs? Different time and scenario, and I honestly am not shooting down the team like others. The West is very very tight right now, and everything goes.

Probably not, but on the bright side, they're getting really good at the Heimlich maneuver.

The rockets choked against phoenix in the playoffs.
We had a 20 point lead against phoenix.

This has nothing to do with that.
We lost back to the spurs.
    That's what it is

So the Rockets lost back to back games to a team that is 20-3 in their last 23, and a team that set a record by winning 9 straight by 12 or more points?? Guess which 2 games have been the closest for the Spurs over their recent NBA record streak?... The Rockets... The same Spurs team had a 30 point lead over GS 10 days ago.

The Rockets just happened to face the best team in the league back to back and lost by 1 point...

Nah...McHale has refused to overplay Howard for our real games coming. Spurs only got 22mpg of Howard. We are fine.

We will win out. MEM has three away games left. We will pass them and get HCA at 2nd, 3rd or 5th seed.

Trust me, MEM will be the 6th seed

Choke City was never really about the Rockets. It was about the monumental choke job of the Oilers vs Reich. It was so bad there is a wikepedia page devoted to that game called "The Comeback"

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Comeback_(American_football)

And this was all mixed in with the Astros failing too.

The city was just pissed, and they took it out on the Rockets...then Hakeem said, "enough of this."

Why are people trying to tell us about Choke City and using it against the Rockets, again, so incorrectly?

like we aren't going to respond.,,,so quickly and correctly...especially right before the playoffs.

Totally inappropriate to call this team a bunch of chokers. If anything, they are overachievers, constrained a bunch of injuries to a number of players, absent of which we would have a better record.

The players need to get better at the ft line. Everybody, excluding Dorsey, who is a totally lost case at the ft line, could at least shoot their historical averages, which they are not.

Wait couple of more years. I mean you have waited almost 20 years.

What are two or three years more?

Funny that Rockets have been called 'Moral winners' and 'Overachievers' since the Adelman and even the JVG years.

That was 10 years ago. Get used to it. We relied too much on two, three players.

And they went injured quickly. It will continue that way.

You have to build a talented team of 5, 6 players.
