I think I'd try lowrie in the 2 spot and springer 3rd... Seems more natural and gives a r-l-r match up ... Also first base defense should be better and one less strikeout machine!

And.... I don't know, but a team that's struggling to score runs should really not take themselves out of innings like that
His instincts are surprisingly poor. He needs some serious sessions with Biggio or Bagwell whenever either of them are at the ballpark. Biggio made a great point on the opening day espn broadcast re: how good Casey Candaele was as a baserunner and how much B&B learned from him.
