People need to remember that Clutch City wasn't born out of success and domination but from heartbreak and desperation. Champions often have to learn the hard way, maybe Harden doesn't learn anything and becomes another superstar player that collects no trophies, personally though I'll stick behind him for as long as he wears a jersey.
Haha! Yep, we have some fans that are very vocal on Twitter...But don't know what I the world they are talking about. They just get media members frustrated with our Fan base...Regardless of the negatives the media say about us we really just need to let our on court product do the talking and forget about the media puppets
It's not that I don't like Harden, I'm just tired of people rushing to make excuses for the guy. Winners win. They do it despite obstacles. Clutch City taught us that. If we go into the playoffs the 6th seed we will go in as the same seed the Clutch City Rockets did. I pray Harden learns from heartbreak. It seemed to work for him this season after the Lillard shot. Actually I'm happy he won't win MVP. I'm happy the team probably won't get home court. This team lacks "the switch", "The killer instinct". Maybe failure is the catalyst to helping them grow it.
Yeah it's funny to me people think like this. We've had Harden for two playoff series. The first one as a 8th seed...and somehow this is a knock on him for not getting past the 1st seed Thunder although he took them to 6 games. The 2nd time was a disappointment...just all around. They lost a series they were favored in and a big reason was because Harden dallied around for a few games. Maybe he's learned from that, maybe last night he learned (plus after the memphis game) that Refs aren't going to give him FTs to win the game and relies more on his stepback for game winners. I'd rather wait and see how he responds to failure.
My point there was that Harden was the reason we were even in that particular game at the end though. In the end an all time great player made a great play to get his team the win. Also though I agree. While I would love for him to win MVP and have his success now, now that we know that he won't...lets see how he responds. Will he just accept it or will he play with fire and an edge.
Some of you guys are pathetic. The Rockets just took the Spurs to the wire and lost by one point. Harden had a poor shooting night, but it had nothing about not "getting calls." He had a bad shooting night. That's it. Stop giving up on the guy who hasn't given up on us. He didn't shy away from taking the last shot. He didn't shy away from taking risky threes to get the game to one. Harden is here to stay for the next couple of seasons. If you don't like it then that's you. I on the other hand am grateful that Harden, Howard, Ariza, Smith, Jones, and whoever else are Rockets and are competing despite all the BS that is going on. All the hate from outside Houston, and now all the hate from inside of Houston. It's pathetic. I don't mind this article. I'm glad he's confident and arrogant enough to publicly say he's the MVP. **** being humble. No one respects us anyways.
Harden can still bolt like Lebrawn. And McHale and the whole crew sure do not make it easy to win anything in the West.
I have a feeling if he doesn't get out of the first round in two years he will leave to LA. Seems like the type that would love to play in his home city
That is something to talk about the off season. I give you that. With the way players keep changing their minds virtually anything is possible at this point. We'll see more future signs of that.
Uhhhh...that's a ways down the line. I'm not losing any sleep over Harden's free agency anytime soon.
Would it hurt harden's chance if the rockets were 6th seed but technically tied with the 2nd best record in the west due to tiebreakers? Although curry probably pretty much locked up the mvp award already
If Harden does not step up again in the play-offs, what excuses will we come up with? He's 25, too young, not mature enough? An MVP carries his teams on his back, especially during crucial games. Harden has yet to do that in the play-offs when it matters and he also chokes too often when he doesn't get the whistle / misses shots. Have you seen how many freaking time this guy has walked back instead of running back the last few games? It's T-mac all over again...
At this point .. . . I'm not against the guy D*mmit he shrinks too much for my taste I need him to get Angry . . . I need him to say F*** IT I am going to ram this ball down their throats I'm going to hit this shot I'm the F***ing best and I'm going BEAST ON YOUR BRAINS!! Reminds me of the Yao Hand Clap . . .awww shucks . . . . . I remember how it pissed people off I did not . . . but watching Harden now in big games. . . . I am disappointed Very disappointed. Rocket River
Exactly. He needs to get that killer instinct of taking it to the other team. He already tries to rack up assists for the sake of stats. He does exactly the same as T-mac under the guise of 'trying to get others involved'. Rarely does Harden look for his own shot early in the game. That needs to change as well.
Yeah I am not even going to count what he did with the Thunder. This playoffs is going to say a lot. He can't just have one good game out of six for the third straight year in a row.
Spoiler If harden doesn't play like someone killed his favorite stripper... then it's going to be a long but slow and painful ride in the playoffs not only for us rockets fans, but for the team as well... and we're all going to be depressed as **** because Hardens season success didn't and couldn't translate in the post season. It's only thoughts right now... so I'm hoping Harden has an actual agenda on his sleeve right now... theres no way he doesn't make sure he gets out of the first round this year, tho.
