Why are you so sure of this? They are the defending champs, all their important players look healthy, and they're playing their best basketball of the season with the playoffs around the corner.
Because even if all these things are true there is still only a 20% chance they will win the title if you believe Vegas odds.
You know that those odds were EXTREMELY high for NBA standards? 50% chance of winning the title in a 30 team league with at least 6 contenders.
I really don't understand the Spurs. They are a major sports anamoly. "Tony Parker may sit out with an achilles tendon injury". Tony Parker runs figure 8's around the court and is shooting from all over the floor the same night. Meanwhile, "Motiejunas will be back in 1-2 weeks." Motiejunas is out for the rest of the season and playoffs.
Cant praise Coach McHale and Morey for helping Josh Smith and Corey Brewer "known commodities" Then downplay another team for doing the same thing (Well you CAN if you want, though its contradictory)
The Spurs are on a mission to go for a two-peat. But nothing is set in stone yet so, hopefully the Rockets can win at home tomorrow.
I am sick and tired of the Spurs. Retire already. Anyways, they've never won back to back, so chances are they will go down; hell they've lost their two peat chances during easier seasons. This is the toughest season for them in regards to a potential twopeat.
man, Spurs were stinking up the joint earlier in the season, I thought they were done for sure. If they get back into 2014 form, ain't no team is stopping them.
You know, I can't believe I'm saying this, but... IF our Rockets don't go on a long run, I would really enjoy watching the Spurs eliminate the over-hyped Warriors. I know I just posted that in the GARM too, but I am really starting to enjoy the image of Pops getting over on his shorter, less experienced, but more ballyhooed disciple, Kerr. Hopefully the Rockets short-circuit that from even happening.
I hate the Spurs. I hope they get destroyed every game. And I look forward to the time when their current core are retired and they are a small market team wallowing in the lottery.
How could you hate the Spurs for being good and ignore the fact that there are way worse winning franchises like the Lakers and Mavs? Spurs are the good guys, aside from the Rockets.
