One could argue that the riots in Ferguson gave the Carolina police chief incentive to arrest, charge and fire that cop in less than 24 hours of the video release .

When's the last time a Cop has been thrown under the bus that fast by his own?

 

I would say one could argue that the Carolina Police Chief did the right thing for the sake of doing the right thing, yet I recall watching GMA the morning after and seeing a large and not so racially diverse group of people demanding to have the chief of police address them....apparently the mayor wasn't good enough.

 

No, it really can't be argued. The riots in Ferguson were just ignorant people making an ass out of themselves, nothing more. If the case in South Carolina was anything like the case in Ferguson then the union would be backing the officer and he'd walk because he'd be innocent. In this case, there is evidence that the officer flat out lied on his report and planted evidence....along with the fact that he shot a man in the back 8 times while he was trying to run away. The reason he was fired so quickly was because the video shows that he murdered someone. I'd bet in any case where there is a video of an officer flat out murdering someone and then planting evidence on them, that officer would be fired within 24 hours of that video being released.

 

You believe that bu77shyt that Black folks didn't show up in the Americas until after Columbus on slave ships... Lol. Unfortunately many Black Americans believe that and don't know that Black natives were over here too. The Americas was only a new world to White Europeans.

Just like many White Americans have been fooled into believing that their ancestors had the slave ships during the Atlantic slave trade and are the ones who owned the most slaves in this country. That shyt isn't true either. I would say who did own the slave ships and the most slaves over here but to avoid being called anti-Semitic I won't

Thanks for this. But, when they wrote that article, the press didn't know the man had a dozen bullet holes in his back. While I'm glad for the video evidence, I'm not sure it's a foregone conclusion that internal affairs would look at the forensics and just let it go. Maybe, but that's a pretty big assumption (and accusation).

 

The big issue is that they wouldn't have known about the planted evidence and outright lies on the report by the officer. The bullet holes all being in his back and being at an ever increasing distance would probably be enough to make a case, but not the slam dunk case that the video makes.

 

True, the video could be the difference between a pink slip and a conviction.

 

Oh, I did my research on this, too- it was muriatic acid- sure, it's diluted when it hits water- but here is what else it does:

Now, what happens if the guy slips and someone gets this in their eyes? Or what happens if they are close enough to inhale it? I researched 4 different sites for people who use this for their pools, and there is one thing they all agreed upon: NO ONE IN THE POOL WHEN YOU APPLY IT! In no sane person's universe would they say what he did was in any way acceptable for fear of the abovementioned danger.

So, maybe next time you want to get up on your imaginary high horse and lecture someone about their intelligence, you may want to think about it, rein in your enormous ego, and trot away with at least a modicum of dignity- lest you want to engage in this perpetual merry-go-round of continuing to make yourself look like the dumb **** you tend to be more frequently than you'd like to admit on this site.
