HA! I'll call him McFail as much as I please. Its not offensive to his deceased daughter. I don't even know what that means and how its relevant. You are an idiot for bringing that into the conversation.

Sadly i bet McHale is better at his job than most of us F5'ing clutchfans all day instead of working.

McHale will likely finish off the regular season with the best winning % as a Rockets head coach and every moron on this board thinks they can coach better than a Hall of Famer.

Get over yourself, you are ruining the internet for the rest of us.

its offensive because you're taking a family name and degrading it to the level of competency you obviously have

There is an idiot in this conversation...and it is you.

Coach McHale is a top 50 NBA player of all time, elected to the basketball HOF, recognized by his peers as one of the toughest players to guard that has ever to played the game. He deserves respect.

By not giving it, you completely undermine any credibility you might have had.

    His name is McHale.

I agree with some of the posters. It's a great indicator for how immature and uneducated a poster is. Team wins and plays great, give all praise to Harden or Howard or Jones or whoever. Team loses, blame McFail!!

I don't know what your last name is, but someone could easily come up with a childish name that would surely offend other members of your family, not just you.

For example, let's say your last name is McShay. If you had a homosexual son and someone started calling him McGay, would you say, "Oh, no worries, they're only making fun of my son, not myself, so the nickname is not offensive."

You sound like a child (and for the sake of this conversation, I hope you are).

LOL at the OP....who cares what ppl call kevin mchale, he is obviously tremendously flawed in the coaching game....player coach fine , but when it comes to down to pure ball coaching theres no way he should be the one calling plays, which has been proven this year if u watched JB when we go to huddles

Anyone who can't understand the HUGE difference a competent coach makes , then really leave this forum, if your too worried about ppl calling him Mcfail lol

All PRO MCHALE posters.....Name me 3 different times in the 3 years Mchale has coached us where he made a positive difference by exploiting a certain matchup, or called some late game plays...( no telling harden do what u want doesn't count)....what i do remember is him screaming to our players Man to Man before lilliard hit that 3....thats enough for me to know how stupid a Basketballl coach he is, no matter how nice

    1) The coach of the Houston Rockets is fair game for criticism and humor.

    2) McFail is a joke about his competency as a coach not his sexual orientation

    3) I'm not a child

Ok he's no Pop in terms of coaching ability (very few are) and there have been more than a few games I've been frustrated by his decisions (or lack of). But players seem to love him and even with the injuries this season, no one can complain about the season we're having.
    I personally like McHale.
I take the name 'mcfail' as a joke and find no offence. No different than calling Portland the 'Porkland failblazers' (as an example).
But let's just hope the coach and ayers can get it together for the remainder of the season.

    NO.

McFail is completely acceptable. If you don't call him that, I already know you don't know much about basketball. If you can't dissect his flaws by now, you're just a normal fan, and not a hard core fan who actually knows basketball, and lives and dies basketball.

Calling McHale McFail doesn't make you annoying, I think it makes me realize and care enough about our Rockets to call out the flaws and hope he could change and become the McSuccess that we've always wanted.

Also, this board is about communicating, saying what you want, freedom of speech... I don't give a rats ass if you or anyone else think it's annoying if someone says something you like or don't like, or in this situation, McFail.

Our end goal is to be the best Rockets fans, whether through frustration, or just simple giddiness and happiness, and that's all that matters to me at the end of the day.

Call him McHale which I don't approve........ or McFail, or McF****, or McS****, or McPenis, or McVagina, or McDweeb, or McInept, or McDumbass... you'll still be my fellow Rockets fan... but if you seriously don't think he's inept and a ****ing tool at doing his job, then you need to re-prioritize your intellectual basketball knowledge and get with the program.
