Our only hope are rotation changes to be able to defend the Spurs better and to avoid the Dorsey momentum-killer. If McHale doesn't change anything, that means he is unable or unwilling to strategize. Just take a vacation then, so others can coach.
A loss here would be pretty demoralizing, and if the defense plays the way it did yesterday, a loss is guaranteed.
It feels like Popovich has figured out basketball. He's broken the game, and nothing short of a rules change will make it competitive again. How else do you explain his ability to take any scrub off the scrap heap and turn him into a winner? It's not Tim Duncan I can guarantee you that.
Lol this post just makes you truly realize that Mchale is the complete opposite of Popovich. After Dorsey shot that airbags on the free throw then missed the second one badly I would have benched him the rest of the game. Not because he missed the shots but because he mentally checked out during those shots and his effect on the momentum of the team at that time of the game impacted us too negatively. I would have made a example out of Dorsey to say I mean business when it comes to winning this game and I'm in championship mode allowing nothing to F us up.
Hurt to not have Bev. No one on the team is close to checking a speedy guard. With so many great PG, it's going to sting in the playoff.
Only because he's coaching vs McHale. Their system can be beaten. But it requires a lot of discipline, something that unravelled for us when we got rattled.
Let Parker go off... make them one dimensional... don't let them get other players involved. Hell, at the very least they'll conserve some energy defensively because they're going to need to be as high-flying/fast-breaking as possible to beat this team.
We can fall to 6th in the standings if we lose this game. That would be devastating. Not only do we lose home court in all the rounds, but Harden can kiss that MVP goodbye as well. I hate being a Houston fan sometimes, but someday it will be our time again...
I'd like to see Brewer play PG, may be risky, but he's faster than, handles the ball and is better on defense than Terry/Prigioni and also has more energy. I think it'll work in our favor. The Greyhound>>>
we need to tell joey dorsey to use backboard on his freethrows he is trying to swish it all the time. If he uses backboard and aims for the square on the backboard (TIM DUNCAN STYLE) he will make alot more than 20% of them. Its a simple geometric switch. Morey i know your on the boards... TELL MCHALE AND DORSEY
Harden needs to win the MVP in this game. We need another 40 pt game from him where he's unstoppable on offense, and creating for others as well. Also, to close out the game, we need Brewer on Parker, Ariza on Leonard, Harden on Green, and Smith on Duncan. Jones can't get a rebound if his life depending on it, and Parker runs circles around Terry/Prigs.
Not in the Dallas game. He was huge in the 4th quarter of that one. I agree he's had some clunkers over the past couple weeks, but that wasn't one of them.
"Brewer has been bad quick everyone hate on him! " Next game he goes off, " OMGZ BREWER IS A KEEPER SIGN HIM TO 10 YEAR CONTRACT"
