    Marriage in government <> personal or religious marriage.

    Not sure why folks need so much to push their meaning of marriage onto the State.

    Why don't you change the name of the religious unions instead. Non-religious people can get married, religious people can have religious unions.

    The people who are caught up on a word are the people who should be ignored.

    That would work well for y'all except the LAW rules the land and they're called "MARRIAGE licenses" with the Justice of the Peace and "Marriages" in churches and chapels. ;)

    I always find it interesting that those who are opposed or at least uncomfortable with gay marriage always bring up sex acts.

    And I would support that but noone has seriously launched an effort to do this. I mean where are the protests, referendums or bills to get marriage out of government?

    Further I can't recall up until about 10 years ago when gay marriage rulings started gaining traction that anyone mentioned this idea.

    Gays can Marry at their churches/homes/etc
    Christians can have their what ever
    Mormons can have their sister wives
    etc
    etc
    etc
