At least the Grizzlies have tough games to close out the season.

Haha, the Spurs will make the Rockets turnover after turnover, maybe 12 turnovers in 5 minutes, then the game is over

I just wish Dorsey is never playing in a game where the stakes are high and against a brilliant coach. He lost all confidence from his misses at the foul line. McHale isn't helping him by putting him back in, time after time.

I also wish McHale would go to other players when the rotational guys aren't cutting it. At least show that we didn't have a chance instead of making us wonder if putting NJ on Parker would work, etc. NJ has been solid this year, especially when he has been called up to play. Frankly, he deserves time especially if we are facing an elite point guard.

Jones, Brewer and Terry were so disappointing, especially Jones and Brewer. I totally expected Jones to have a good game tonight since the Spurs usually have no one to match up against him but he was getting owned by Baynes of all people. Brewer just hasn't been good lately. I thought his speed on the fast breaks would be huge tonight but he is just too wild on drives and dribbling, in general. He probably loses the ball more than a quarter of the time.

Howard was a bright spot but he can't do guard the paint alone. Smith, Jones and the rest of the team has to at least try to help him rebound. Really wish he wasn't on minutes restrictions. Taking him out with 5 minutes left in the 1st totally shifted momentum.

Harden was really good in the fist quarter but then he stopped attacking the rim. It doesn't help that the Spurs loaded up against him and no one was moving on offense or making plays. He needs people to hit shots. Ariza can't be the only one.

Ariza was great tonight. Wish he helped more on the boards but he did a good job on Leonard and shot well. He should have shot more.

Oh, and can McHale not get totally outcoached by Pop next game? At least try to make some smart adjustments and not look so clueless when the team struggles to do anything with Dorsey on the floor. kthanksbye

Blaming the coaches is just silly.

The Rockets had practiced more set plays probably than most of the NBA teams.

Its about the players making decisions on the floor with the type of offense we are running, but it doesn't mean we don't have any set on O.

Josh Smith is just a very poor decision maker in most of his career, you can never change that.

The other team also has something to do with the outcome... the Spurs have been annihilating everybody, including teams better than the Rockets.

Morey NEEDS to be held accountable if this team gets sent packing in the first round yet again. 1 freaking playoffs series win in 20 yrs ain't gonna cut it, and no amount analytics or formulas/theorems can explain giving Mchale a 3 yr extension, signing Joey Horsesh!t, and not having a starting caliber PG on this team. Harden can only carry this flawed team so far by himself.

This is what it's like watching McHale start Terry and keep him on Parker even after Parker has made 8 of 10 with effortless layups.

I said before the game. Start Nick on Tony. Just do it. Pop would do weird stuff like that. Pop would bench all his starters in the 1st quarter. McHale....MAN...I honestly didn't consider the McHale factor this game, cause I'm usually not a McHale hater....but damn dude. So bad.

Tony finishes with 72% shooting and 27 pts.

McHale "Balls gotta pop and move. We didn't do some things" pfft. whatever cupcake.

Depends on who they lose to. If they draw Portland or Dallas in Round 1 with homecourt and lose, then yeah, Morey's got some splainin to do. If they wind up facing the Spurs(homecourt or not) and lose, well who really expected us to win that series?

Morey's job is to assemble the best team possible and not screw over the Rocket's future. He is doing that. Coaches need to coach and players need to step it up. its that simple. You can't blame Morey for a team not giving an all out effort--thats on them and the coaching staff.

Who do you think could do better than Morey with what he was handed? (And not being allowed to tank)? You are insane to want to 'hold morey accountable"--he's the one that made the Rockets relevant again!

I'm blaming the coach for leaving Terry on Parker.

I don't care if that's Jordan out there, you can't let a player just go out there and do whatever he likes.

If Harden gets hot you'll see teams put someone else on him, double him high, shade his defender...

We didn't do anything different. In fact the 2nd time Terry checked in RIGHT when Parker checked in as if he was coming in to defend him...lol.

Every player has his role on a team, that's how it should be. Terry's role should never be defender and if he's getting burned and you can't hide him on defense you take him out. Period.

Yes, but the Rockets also had a 10 points lead in the first half and we just collapsed in the 3rd after Dwight took his rest.

Harden did not do a good job to run the offense in the second half and played pretty bad defense also.

Since he is the best player in this team, he has to take a large portion of the blame in this game also.

Ariza is fantastic tonight, he and Dwight are the only 2 who played well.

Terry shot like an old dude today, and gave absolutely no resistance to any of their pgs. He is just old and cannot go against the other team's starting pg.

Start Johnson and let him defend the 1. Bring Pepperoni to be the backup pg.

They do, this has been a good bounce back team (excluding that warriors series this year) for a while.

Remember that Grizzlies game? They wiped the floor with us and we returned the favor next time. That's my only hope for beating the Spurs with how they are playing now.
