I think it is pretty clear the guy was already tagged with the tazer. You can see the wire.

This is the problem with carrying a tazer and a gun and using the tazer as a FIRST option. There is always a plan B and you can see the human reaction is to go with it instantly.

If this cop didn't have a gun, he would have called for backup and the cops with the guns would go get the guy who ran.

 

They were fighting on the ground, you can see the frames of both men on the ground. Sideways.

This. texxx insinuated that it could have been prevented if the guy didn't run. How about it could have been prevented if the cop wasn't an effin idiot/murderer. Probably a racist too.

 

You and fallenphoenix should lay off the texxx hate. He does say some racially insensitive things, but there's nothing wrong with stating you shouldn't run from the police. You're in a lose-lose situation when dealing with bad cops, but for the best outcome, follow and comply. You'll likely lose less.

 

Anyone hear anything about the other officer? The black officer on the scene, he seemed like he was cooperating in the cover up...

I agree you should not run, but running from the police isn't a reason to get shot in the back. This situation is a result of the officer's character and poor judgement. Not the actions of the deceased, as has been insinuated.

I believe he's implying that police kill more black people than any other group of people. And considering that area of the country. If the victim was a white 50 year old man the cop probably would have just chased him down and tackled him. Probably would have never stopped him for the tail light in the 1st place.

Unfortunately too many good cops either turn a blind eye and or help the bad cops cover up their crime which makes them just as bad. Look at the other cop who showed up on the scene trying to help cover up the situation... They should lock his azz up too.

He's grabbing the guy by the wrist with one hand and reaching for his gun with the other. These dudes are so busy eating donuts and writing traffic tickets that they don't even train on the proper methods to take down a suspect. But it's obvious he gets his time in at the shooting range.

 

Officers should carry a lethal and non lethal handgun with rubber bullets just for this kinda situation.

Why is that? In my eyes, if he hadn't run the outcome could be different. If he obeyed, he probably would have just been arrested and not dead. For some reason, just because we disagree with you doesn't mean we don't think the cop is in the wrong.

Just saying, if you comply, less likely you die.

If he'll shoot a guy in the back who is running away then he'll definitely shoot a guy in the front for reaching into his waistband for his imaginary gun so your whole bad cop theory is fairly useless.
