It's amazing that over the last 8 days of the regular season, the Clippers only play 3 games: vs. MEM, vs. DEN, @ PHX Since playing the Rockets on March 15th, the Clippers have played 12 games, only 4 of those were against above .500 teams vs. WSH, vs. NOP, vs. GS, @ POR
There is a great possibility that at the end of the season the Rockets/Grizzlies/Clippers/Spurs ALL have better records than the Trail Blazers, yet because of a dumb rule giving division winners a top 4 seed, POR will be the 4th seed.
I hope the Spurs can climb to the 5th seed. That way they can tear down the Warriors in the second round. I rather have the Spurs win the title than the Warriors (Rockets first, of course). Offseason and preseason will be unbearable with Warrior love if they win the title. Ideally, since the Clippers have a cupcake schedule, they can get the 3rd seed. Spurs overtake the Grizzlies for the 5th seed, and homecourt agaisnt Portland. Warriors Rockets Clippers Blazers Spurs Grizzlies Mavericks Pelicans/Thunder In my opinion, the best scenario for the Rockets. We get the Mavs. Grizzlies and Clippers battle it out before (hopefully) meeting us in round 2. Warriors and Spurs duke it out on their side of the bracket. If we get to round 3, we face a Warrior/Spurs team that just went through a tough (hopefully 7 game) series.
The last time DeAndre Jordan didn't have the most rebounds in a Clipper game was on February 21st against the Sacramento Kings, when non-other-than Omir Casspi got 17! rebs
I agree. If Spurs get 5th seed, they will give GSW a series in the 2nd round. Otherwise GSW will roll past NOP/OKC and then POR/LAC/MEM...although MEM COULD give them a series. But honestly, I'm just all-in on hoping the Rockets can keep the 2nd seed. We would play the easiest opponent in 1st Round and then no matter who we play in the 2nd round, we'll have home court, and we wouldn't have to face GSW till WCF
I hope the Pelicans get the 8th seed And knock the trash bros off their high horse. I'm Pelicans took trash walk by Warrior 'personal,' Anthony Davis says http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/1...olden-state-warriors-player-talked-trash-loss
And some of you don't think the Warriors are coasting? A team calling a game a scrimmage doesn't sound very serious. I hope it screws the Warriors in the playoffs.
Awesome win for the Pelicans, really want them in over OKC. Lakers and OKC should've made it more interesting for us..
